Where'd the swing sets go?

I can't find them in stores now. Last night after I got my groceries I headed across the parking lot to the other store to decide which swingset I wanted for the boys once the rebate check comes...they were all gone, no sign of them anywhere.
It's only the beginning of June, why would they stop selling them already? It doesn't make sense. I checked and I did find some online...but most are out of stock and the cost of shipping is way more than I would want to pay anyway.
So hopefully the check will come soon enough for me to find a lone swingset still at a store somewhere. I just think it's stupid to clear them out this early in the summer...are they really that concerned with having room for the fall items already?
Who thinks things have gotten out of control with stores changing their seasonal items so early? It almost so bad that you can find items during the time of year you actually need them.

I noticed that the swingsets were disappearing too. It's weird about the seasonal changes. Last year I needed to get a new swimsuit around mid-July and the stores had already had clearance sales and removed them. They were bringing out the fall and winter jackets!

All the summer clothes are getting clearanced off too! It's just now getting hot and they're bringing in fall clothes already...at least that means those of us slow to get our shopping done will get some good deals...if there's anything left!

It's actually a summer and spring seasonal item. You can find swing sets in your local warehouse store (Costco,Sam's Club, etc.)

Could be, we don't have any of those closer than an hour's drive.

Stores really DO change their inventory too soon. I bet you can't even buy a bathing suit right now, but I bet you could pick up an awesome winter coat. Dumb huh?
Another thing I think that is dumb is that our REALLY big Sears in the mall doesn't sell toys unless it's Christmas.
A few years ago we needed a new lunch box for my sister in her daycare. We must have searched 5 stores, a few of them being Walmarts, and NONE had them. They said they only sold lunch boxes in August and September.
Wouldn't you think that a child would maybe need a new lunch box during the school year? You can get adult lunch totes, but not childs. DUMB!

That's horrible! You may want to check Walmart.com. I order stuff from them online all the time. They have free shipping if you use their site to store option and have your order delivered to the store nearest you. You will recieve an email when it arrives and all you have to do is go and get it.

I do think it is stupid to be shopping for a winter coat in July! I liked it much better when during the summer i could go to the store and find swimsuits and summer things. I noticed that walmart is Clarencing out all of their summer stuff (pools, swimsuites, beach toys etc..)already. I myself refuse to buy a winter coat in the middle of a miserably, muggy 95 degree day!

I remember needing a swimsuit for my senior trip which took place the first week of May. We had to go all over the place to find one and almost had to drag out the catalogs because stores did not have things out that early. Now they start showing up in March. It's ridiculous! And, no, I have no interest in buying coats and sweaters when it's 95 degrees and I'm dripping with sweat because of the humidity, either.
