Roadtrips rock!!! Of course, there's a few things that can influence the experience. How comfortable is the car/van, how well do you get along with your fellow trippers, how long are the trips etc. etc. But the choice to leave where and whenever you want is such a great feeling, plus you get to go to places that are often difficult to reach by public transport. For those who don't like roadtrips, just watch 'Y tu mama tambien' and look at the Mexican beaches you can visit....

My favorite way to travel is by train in a comfortable seat during the day looking at the passing scenery. At night I like to sleep in a sleeping compartment. There is always plenty of leg room on a train and I can go for walks to other carriages. One train I went on in Australia had a club loco car. If no train is available I take a bus and enjoy looking out of the window at the passing scenery. At night on bus I feel quite uncomfortable sitting up and having very little space to rest myself. I don't enjoy flying all that much but it is a way of traveling a long way and quickly. I especially like it when I see a view. I saw the pyramids of Egypt and the islands of the Maldives out of the plane windows so that was quite special. Long trips by car can be tiring but by day the passing scenery is nice to look at. Yes, it must be boring to get stuck doing all of the driving. When I went up the Australian coast my friends shared the driving.

I absolutely LOVE road trips! Especially those when your travel schedule is not tight. It gives you time "to stop & smell the roses."
Of all the most wonderful travels I have had...road trips "rock." Course, my son and I have an 11 foot camper, and it's just so much fun to pull over, stop and explore. Have your home right with you. Our camper is equipped with (too many) comforts of home! Just this last November we travelled across B.C. One night we had 2 cougars looking in the camper window....a few nights later we were surrounded by wolves! Road trips...yes!

it is more fun if you travel through bus or train, because you can concentrate watching beautiful surroundings and many beautiful places...i love this, when my girlfriend ask me to travel their place through plane, i didn't instead i travel by bus 2 nights and 3 days...very exciting and enjoy the trip.

I love roadtrips. The driving sucks and gets tiring but in general I love it. You can stop and see different places at your own pace. Flying I only did once. It was alright, got there faster but theres just something about being that high that scares me and if you got into an accident the chances or slim to none, as a car its still tough but yet you still have a slight chance of surviving. A bus is ok. Usually you have to switch a few times and meet all these weird people and sometimes stay in citys over night that you dont know or whatnot. So personally Id rather just drive. You can stop anywhere along the way. At your own pace.

I prefer train travel to all others because I can sit comfortably and enjoy the view. On long journeys I can read, sleep, eat, drink, use the washroom and no worry about getting lost as the train will take me where I want to go.
I don't like flying or any sort of road travel.
