I have never really traveled much, but I have had a strong desire to do so recently. I was wondering what places are a must visit; the most fun, most interesting, most exotic etc. I would appreciate any input, and point me in the right direction for the best places to visit.

If you go to Europe one day I suggest that you don't miss out on the beautiful cities of Prague, Budapest, Dubrovnik, Salzburg and Lisbon. I think it would be fun for you to see the pyramids of Egypt and go on a safari in Africa. It would be lovely if you went to some tropical islands like the Caribbean, in the Indian Ocean or in the South Pacific. Going to Australia and New Zealand would be exciting for you. There you could see the lovely city of Sydney, view unique native wildlife and do exciting outdoor adventures like rock climbing, kayaking in a gorge and snorkeling the fantastic Great Barrier Reef. I wish you much happy traveling in your future.

For me there is no way to give a reasonable response to this without more information. There's soo many things that influence a trip that it is impossible to say : Go there. Some of the aspects to consider: how long will you be traveling, what's your budget, sunny or cold, active or relaxed, etc. etc. But you can never go wrong with Latin America :-)

I've made many journeys, even one that went clear 'round the world over an eight month period. My reasons for traveling are for adventure, knowledge, and just to experience new people, places and things. I have visited four continents and 42 countries, and each is a treasure to be discovered. There is no "best" place to visit.
Being that you are 15 and live in the states, your immediate travel plans will probably be dictated by your parents. Maybe you could research our neighbors - Canada and Mexico - and then search the web for a deal you could suggest to your family. Remember, you'll need a passport for both of them now. An interesting place to get a foreign experience without needing a passport is to go to Puerto Rico! It's a US Territory but has the Caribbean flavour and pulses, plus Spanish is the predominate language along with English.
Long term, you should think about what interests you about travel. What countries, cultures, cuisines most grab your attention. For many Americans, Europe is their first destination after Mexico and Canada, if not before them. A good place to consider is to visit the country(countries) that your ancestors came from. After that, there are about 217 more countries to choose from - Bon Voyage!!!

I personally would say if you want to get a taste of a few different places to try going on a cruise. I loved it, so much to do on the boat. and you get to visit different places. I went on a carribean cruise and I am dreaming about going again one day.
