No. I don't give my phone numbers to all. Only when it is needed. Otherwise I keep them to myself.
Here there is telemarketing and I don't know where they get these numbers? They just give you trouble calling every now and then. so I never give my number to anyone.

Some ask for these phone numbers just for the sake of asking. They will not need it at all. You can refuse for those people. Why should you give your phone numbers to everyone and suffer later on. The phone rings at inoppurtune times. I have noticed that. So I give numbers only to people who have to call me, otherwise I don't.

Hello youless!:-)
I think I am like you. My friends have both my landline and cell phone numbers. For everyone else, I just give the cell number. Another reason for this is that of course I am not home during day time. So, giving home phone number in offices or to other people who would usually call during the time I'll be away from home doesn't make sense.

I give strangers my internet number or Brring number.
I don't like to publish my number and have strangers to call me.
Only my very close friends and family know my number.
I protect my privacy and my freedom.

In this day and age where everyone in the family has their own cell phone, I have disconnected my land line for good.
So the only number I get to give out is my cell.
No point keeping the land line anyways. Every one who knows both your land and cell number will always call you on your cell anyways. So no difference whether you give the cell or the land line. They will always end up calling you on your cell anyways.

In the United States all incoming calls are free, but long-distance calls are not. On cell phones, all call are charged whether they are going out or coming in. But, there are some plans that give you a lot of minutes that many people don't have to pay extra.

Now with so many plans offering incoming call free, it does not really matter who calls you anymore.
So, whether you give the land line or the cell phone number out, the calls are free.
Come to think of it, incoming calls on land lines are not free. The rates are cheaper than a cell phone outgoing call, but the incoming is definitely not free.

I usually give cellphone numbers to friends or other people because usaully when they can't get you when they call you home they will still call your cellphone. Only my family member, my kids school have my home numbers, so when my house phone rings I know its something important.

I give my phone numbers to friends only. I don't like people I don't know calling me especially those who are selling something. Take care my friend.

Like you, my good friends have all my numbers.
Otherwise, I will always give out my cellphone number only. No one will usually ask my home phone number too.
That would be just too bizarre. :P

Well, we haven't had a land-line for several years now so I give my cell. We are moving to a place where cable (for internet) is not available so we had to get a phone line. I do not intend to give that number out.

My home and cellphone numbers are strictly for people who knows me, or for people I do business with. To strangers, it's off limits. I don't like strangers or people that aren't close to me to call me.

We don't have a home phone. We used to have one, and I only give the numbers to my friends. My cellphone number I give to anyone who asks. But I don't text anyone I don't know. They have to introduce themselves first, and if I really don't know them, they would have to tell me what they need from me.

No, I don't give any number to other people. It's only my friends and family who knows it. I don't want other people calling and disturbing me at home or my mobile unit. I very careful with my numbers and I want to control all the calls I receive.

No!!! Only my family members have my cell#. If anyone else needs to call me
I give them my home phone. I talk to my husband and daughter for free, other than
that we split 800 min per month between us from 7A-7P monthly. I also put unlimited
texting on my daughters phone to free up minutes for use since kids do mostly
text during the day.

Yes I like to give my cell number and also my number to all of my friends and others. There is no secret. I want to be a open book for all. I do not hide me. My cell phone number is 0321 9107837. Nothing is there to hide. I don’t know why the people avoid giving their cell numbers to other.

I usually give my cell phone numbers because I don't like people bothering me at home For cell phones, if I don't want to take any calls, I could just switch that off. Besides, I have the caller's ID function on my cell phone and I could tell who is calling me before deciding if I want to pick it up!

Yes, it's different. My way is quite similar to yours. But generally i give others my cellphone number. Only those who is extremely close to me have my home phone number. I think if we communicate through cellphones, I can keep all the things private. I can not control who to answer the home phone when someone call me, which sometimes can bring troubles.
