Do You Like Chocolate?

I have to admit, I think that I am the only female on the face of the earth that does not crave chocolate. Both my daughters crave it all the time. They are so addicted to chocolate.
Chocolate is made from the beans of the cocoa tree. I find it interesting that chocolate was first developed as a food in South America, where it was primarily consumed as a bitter beverage. Cocoa was not combined with sugar until the Spaniards brought chocolate back to Europe. The Latin name of the plant is Theobroma cocoa . "Theobroma" means food of the gods. Because of this, one of the stimulant substances in chocolate is named theobromine; this caffeine-related substance does not contain the element bromine.
Chocolate is rich in antioxidants. In tests done, results appeared to indicate that the dark chocolate produced improvements in blood pressure. Chocolate also has shown some promise for improving cholesterol profile .
So Maybe I should be craving chocolate like the rest of the world. It sounds like it has some promising health benefits.
Do you crave chocolate?
What is your favorite kind of chocolate?

I am addicted to dark chocolate. I don't eat it as often as I would like that is for sure.
But you better keep it a secret that you do not crave chocolate...they will take away your card to the girl club.

I like chocolate sometimes but not like I did when I was younger. I really like chocolate with peanut butter blended together with vanilla ice cream. My favorite kind of chocolate is milk chocolate andmy favorite kind of candy bar is Reeses Cup.

I have never really been a chocolate eater. I mean I can eat it but not very much of it. However, I do enjoy hot chocolate.

i love chocolates. i just hope i won't be diabetic so i can continue to enjoy them. any type of chocolates is fine with me as long as it's really made of real chocolate (because there are some who are actually more on sugar and low quality cocoa).

I have only recently conquered my addiction to chocolate. Not sure how i did it but i no longer crave it.I had a few sessions of acupuncture for my insatiable appetite for chocolate and other calorie laden foods and i am almost sure that is what helped me.I am not eating half as much junk.Actually i am eating no junk at all and i have lost a half a stone in weight.Thank you to my acupuncturist.

Oh yes, I do love my chocolate. I'm not picky, I like just about anything chocolate.
I'm trying to limit myself with sweets, so I buy a bag of Hershey Kisses and put them in the fridge, then just eat one or two at a time.
That doesn't help much if I open the fridge a dozen times a day, though, does it?

No not usually,I do have my moments when "Must have chocolate" attacks..lol..however I find simply listening to my body, then keeping balance in the craving..that's the hard part... serves me well.
Also makes all my little endorphines happy!
Thanks for the sharing, great information.

Actually I don't crave chocolate either. Yes I may indulge in some now and then but I don't crave for it everyday. My brother in law does though, he eats a big bar of candy a day - I'm surprised he hasn't got diabetes yet!
I usually like the nuts and chews sees candy the most.

I don't like chocolate.
I LOVE chocolate.
I like just about any kind.
I am only disappointed if it is not very rich.
I like milk chocolate and I like dark chocolate.
I like semi-sweet chocolate also.
I've never tried unsweetened chocolate.
