A few more thoughts ...
There isn't a set "pay per post" I have earned 1c to about 8c per post (approximate amount as no one knows for sure).
It was said at one time that to earn more your reply had to be longer then 2-3 sentences, however there has been NO proof of this to my knowledge. The "perk" of having the stars (IMO) is being able to see how others are ranked by the rest of them members here. As you can see you have gotten a reply from someone who has a 1 in their star ... since they only replied "no" its pretty easy to see why they have such a low number ranking.

Your quite welcome :)
I got kinda discouraged myself for awhile ... in fact wasn't here much for a few months ... lol
But I have decided to come post anyway for the benefit of communicating with others and what little money I get is just a small perk.
I see the comment I was referring to (the guy who had a star with a 1 in it) got deleted ... yet another sign that he was NOT contributing positively to this thread!

The star you will get once your number goes above 100.
Its been said your earnings are affected, but no one knows just how. It has turned into more of a popularity contest then much else ... IMO.
If you post quality replies , and topics then you will do just fine.
Welcome to myLot ... hope you enjoy it here!

So what does the number indicate? You have 9 written on the star next to urs... Is that a ranking given to u?
Also, pls let us know how we can improve our earnings at MyLot. Any tricks?
Thanks in advance :)

I don't think anyone here really totally understands it all ... myLot has said they use a complicated computer system to determine "worth" of each post. And that we are paid according to this worth. The star is an indication of our ranking here, I believe it is determined by how others rank us ( when we get a + or - on a post ). It has been said that that ranking does affect our earnings, yet once again no one seems to really understand how.
Hope this helps some ...

Well, the Star is your personal rating. When you reach over 100 in your () area then myLot chooses to give you a star determined by the way they feel that you are in your posts and discussions started here in myLot. Most people here are anxious to see when they get one what it will be, and a lot of them that will motivate them to see it raised if need be, or to keep it at a 10 if this is what they are rewarded. You earn your rating from posting Long posts back in discussions, and having people trust you in what you have to say here. So if you follow these tips, you will see much success here in the end.
