The 5 nominees for Best Motion Picture of the Year were 'Atonement', 'Juno', 'No Country for Old Men', 'There Will be Blood' and 'Michael Clayton', which 'No Country for Old Men' taking top honors last night.
I'm sorry to say that the only one I got to see this year was 'Juno', although I absolutely loved it.

I saw all the nominees for the Oscars. The movie I liked best was Michael Clayton. I also liked Juno and Atonement. I didn't like the other two movies so much because the stories were left hanging in the end. I like movies that have definite endings, whether they be good endings or bad endings. I found the movie Juno a cute movie, and I wrote a little review about it on my blog, which you can see at http://www.paulynramirez.com/juno-the-movie/ .

I heard that as well from at least 3 different people. The words 'gratuitous violence', 'dark', 'amoral' and 'bloody' came up a lot.
I'm not sure it's my cup of tea, but maybe I'll see it.

I saw "Michael Clayton", "No Country For Old Men", "There Will Be Blood", and "Juno". Just gotta see "Atonement" when it comes out on DVD. I would have loved to see "Michael Clayton" take home best picture last night, but I was happy to see the Cohen's win.

I hope to see them at some point. Usually I've seen at least one of the nominees but this year I haven't seen any. I've heard Juno is really good.
I actually went to an Oscar party that my mother-in-law had last night and it was fun watching and talking about all the stars even though I hadn't seen the films.
