i've come across in the net regarding eating raw foods. i was surfing the net regarding weight loss and how to become healthy. then, i encountered that the way to being healthy is to eat raw foods....as in raw. no cooking, no steaming. i don't think i can be able to that...even vegetable smoothies, i find it bitter...

one tip i remember is the first thing in the morning when you get up is to drink a glass of warm/almost hot purifeid water witha teaspoon of lemon juice..it is a good diuretic..like cuke cumbers..and one that i hear was real good was coca nut oil..check this out with a good health food store..and there is also African Hoodia..but these cost money and they don't always work for evey one...citris juice and water will help lose water..also apple cider vinegar..teaspoon with water..diuretic..cabbage, garlic, fish oil all have been good supplements too lose the bloat, fight infection, and painful inflamation of joings..vitamin C is a must for weight loss too..and B-6..but I better close as you already have heard enough. I am a nures aide trained..after i retired from Ford Motor Co two years ago and also a member of AARP advocate for retired people..all of this is volunteer..but my wife was a nurse in the Philippines but became a nanny many years ago... a nurse with a purse..as she is the one who has been my main inspiration for success these last 22 years..I am sorry for your situaton..my life is not perfect either as I and my wife must watch our health too...and dieting is not easy for anyone..God Bless you and your family

I eat about 90% vegetarian and about half of that is raw. I couldn't go 100% raw, but it is definitely the healthiest diet. (Just don't eat kidney beans raw- they're poisonous uncooked.) Much of what I do cook is only lightly steamed or sauteed- no oil. Do a little more research...there is a ton of info out there about it. YOu may find you can do more than you think.

Cooking food takes nutrients out. Steaming is better than boiling, but it still does take out nutrients. Also alot of our vegetables are low on nutrients to begin with because of the way they are farmed. There are whole food supplements that are supposed to be really good. My mom swears by them.
