what did you want to be when you were a child? And are you doing it now? I wanted to be a doctor until i found out about all the blood and looking into people. So i changed my mind. Then after H.S. I was going to go into the Army with my best friend, until I found out I was pregnant. After I had my son, I found that being a mother is what I was suppose to be when I grew up, and I am loving it. How about you, what did you want to be when you were a kid?

I wanted to be an athlete however I concentrated more on my studies. I am now an engineering graduate and currently working in the Information Tech field. Although I like my job today, sometimes I still think that or wish that I can become an athlete but knowing the hardships of athletes in training and discipline I don't think I can take that kind of hardship at all so sometimes I am content with my job.

I wanted to be a teacher and did it for a couple of years. Also wanted to run my own business, which is what I'm still doing now. My friends and I all wanted to have 2 children and be successful. I'm the only one with two children, who are now grown.

For a long time I wanted to be a teacher. Then my best friend and I were going to move to florida and do some like marine biology or something like that. Then I decided I wanted to have my own daycare. I started working in a daycare as soon as I graduated. But after a few years of that I soon grew tired of other peoples kids lol. So now I'm a stay at home mom and loving it. I would like to do something from home. I love making gift baskets, but I don't know how much I can make from that in the small area I live.

teachers are amazing. and i think knowing that it wasn't for you is a smart choice. there is nothing worst then doing something you don't want to do. Even more so when it comes to handling children

I wanted to be a paralegal, specializing in the childrens department (child custody, abused children, etc.) I wanted to be able to help kids. Then realized my temperment wasn't right for it. For I don't think I would have been able to idly sit back and watch kids being abused, and only able to file paper work on it. I would have gotten close and personal with the abuser. So second thought the whole thing, and realized it wasn't for me.

I always wanted to be a Lancaster bomber pilot. "A what" I hear you say. The Lancaster was a British plane that flew missions during the last two or three years of WW2. However, I was born after the last Lancaster bomber flew with the RAF and it was the only reason that I would want to be a pilot .So I toyed with water engineering in developing countries and the British Army, then joined what was then part of a UK Government Department. I was good at my job I think, got lots of promotions, became a Director until last year when I got very sick and left. I now am having a great year off before I do something again for the 9 years left before I can collect my pension. I haven't done what I wanted to do. But I have no complaints.

I always wanted to be a nurse. One of my first jobs was in a nursing home as a T2, until I got my license then I was a CNA. After working around the nurses and seeing what all they had to do, I knew I couldn't do it. I can't stand needles as is and don't think I could do that to anyone else. Plus all the charting they have to do. I went as far as getting my Med-Aide license and even then at certain places you have to stick a person's finger, which I can handle better than doing IV's and drawing blood. I am also a mother and love being a mom. I have 5 beautiful children that I would love to stay home with all day if it was possible. Temporarily I am home with them but it's just until we get moved into a new house. Then I will be returning to the work force. (Not thrilled about that)

All through my very young years I wanted to be a vet. I never got a chance to do anything tho. And then after high school I got into forensics. Im still really into forensics and hope that someday in the near future I can look into doing that.

Growing up, I wanted to be a mother, a nurse, and a couselor. The only thing that I have not yet experienced is the one I want the most. To be a mother. If I could just be a mother, nothing else would really matter.

when i was a child,i wanted to be a sailor, just like my father, who had travelled around the world.when i was child,i always lay on the map,my little fingers just pointing the place that my father would had been to.and i was always so exciting about that. however, when i was grew up,my father told me to study hard,be a doctor or a lawyer,be anyone just not like him.he told me that sailor is a very very dangerous occupation.i didn't accept his idea and he scolded me,even beat me in order to make my mind into the school study.so when i chose the college, under my father's pressure,i didn't go to the sailor college. now, i didn't feel sorry cause my father do anything,he do it for me.maybe i didn't know anything about the dangers(he had told me some)how hard it would be. now i understand that maybe i just see the good sides of travelling around the world, just focus how happiness it would be.and forgotten how dangerous and difficult it would be.and i just thanks to my father. he once said:"you want to travel around the world, right?you don't need to worry about that when you master special skills and learn knowledge, then you will soon earn a lot of money ,and then u can travel around the world then. i believe his words, that's why i go to college and try to absorb the knowledge, just like the sponge.
