Hello!! I just wanted to share with all of you what i think about nokia and sony ericsson (SE) cellphones.
I used to be a Nokia fan, but then somebody introduced me to SE convincing me that SE phones are more "sophisticated" then Nokia. At first I was like "what?? why should I care about sophisticated phones?? phones are supposed to be easy to use, period." I liked that Nokia was so user friendly and at that time I was under the impression that SE menus are difficult (compared to Nokia), actions were slow (texting took forever), and the models were just awful. But then.. later on (i.e. when SE T200 was out) I noticed SE has made some improvements. The menus are more user friendly than Nokias, actions took up some speed.. and the models do seem more sophisticated and trendy once you get a good look at it. And, SE has been receiving tons of mobile awards since then. well i can tell you that I have been convinced and am now a SE lover!! Plus, I noticed that SE batteries last far more longer than Nokia batteries. Now, nokia to me is an ordinary "everybody has one" phone.
what do you think?

it seems you are very happy with SE. Look I have no problem with either any one of them But God knows why, i do not like SE phones that much from the first appearance. Nokia to me seems like most trusted Mobile band. its also great achievement in c=becoming all has one brand.

dear subha12 you r right .I think choice of brand depends up on user, how to use.I am not blaming other brands of cell phones. All are good. I think SE is very complicated set.For me nokia is the best widely trusted mobile . Nokia also captured worlds maximum users.

Thank you for the post. I have been very happy with SE phones and have been a favourite for me from the day I started using mobiles. I have never had any problem with my mobiles at all. Even my daughter prefers SE mobiles. But my husband and son are set on Nokia mobiles and would not change. We always have arguments over that. I have proved him many times that his selection is wrong but he wouldn't listen. I belong to your group...

He knows that very well too. Even when our mobiles were of the same price range, my mobile has a class of its own. Both of us have camera in that and he knows mine is far far superior to his. I have other features too which his does not have. But he would never accept or change.

I definitely agree with you... before... i only use nokia cell phones but late last year... i was kinda forced to use a Sony Ericsson since it was the only one available that i can afford... i gave it a try... and i instantly loved it... it is so user friendly and slick at the same time... plus the resolution of images are far more advance...
It also helps that they are a lot cheaper than nokia cell phones...

My husband exchanged his nokia mobile and bought SE mobile. Unfortunately now its at sony ericsson sevice centre. I am agaist SE mobiles. My friends, many of them faced so many problems with SE. Itseem SE is prone to software problems and also the charge in the battery doesn't even last for a single day.

thanx for the comment.
I've had similar problems but i learned that once it's upgraded it operates smoothly. I haven't encountered any problems with SE phones that aren't a problem for other phone brands as well, and i disagree with you about the batteries. i think SE batteries last the longest compared to any other brand.

I have a SE w700i and it has been my phone for more than a year now. I'm very happy with it and I have no plans of buying a new phone even if there are a lot of upgrades and newer models available.

Well, you're quite right about Nokia being a "everybody has one" phone. Since the height of its popularity, it has come out with so many cheap models as well as expensive one to cater for everybody in the market, so it gets a lot of sales.
No matter what phone you choose, as long as it suits you and you're happy with it, I guess its fine. :)

I like both. In fact after some nokia models I used SE, I like the style and it fits my requirement. When my 2 year subscription will expire, for renewal I selected Nokia 92 just to try it. But it was quite big and not handy. So I am still using my SE. I will be using my Nokia on my postpaid account and my SE on my prepaid account. I like them both.
