I've never been locked out of my car. I have gotten locked out of my house on several occasions. I came home from school one day, and the key I had to get back into my house was not working with the lock for some odd reason. I tried to get it to work, but it didn't so I ended up having to call my mom's work so she could come home to let me in because I didn't have access to anyone else at the time. My mom and I got locked out of our house when I was a kid too. We went outside for something and the door ended up being locked. We had to wait outside all evening until my grandparents came home.

I think almost everyone has been locked out of something one time or another, that is why locksmiths have a buisness, its nothing to be embarrassed about.

I got locked out of my house once. I had to climb through the kitchen window, wow that was a tight fit. LOL. And one time I locked my keys in the car. I was about 8 months pregnant with my first child and my husband and I went to the store. He started yelling at me and told me to go find someone at the service desk to help me, he was going shopping. I was crying when I went up to the service desk and of course the guy behind there helped me out. When I found my husband to tell him I got the keys, he said good, I made you cry on purpose cause no one can resist helping a pregnant crying woman. Since then I have never locked my keys in the car. KNOCK ON WOOD!!!

I recently got locked out of my house - that experience is on another discussion somewhere on mylot. I remember another time I got locked out of my car - okay, now three times. One time I had to walk from the store (55th Ave) to the school my husband teaches at (43 Ave) to get his keys. At least it was on the same road. The bad thing was that in Phoenix, it was still very hot in the Fall. I was so hot and thristy, but I had to get his car & keys to go back so I could get my car because I didn't want all the food I had put in there to spoil.

I once locked myself out of my house. I was cleaning the house, just started doing the dishes, I walked out side for a minute and the door was locked. I had to walk to my husband's job to get his key, which was about a mile away. Oh, and I left the water running in the sink, thank God I didn't have a plug in the drain. :)

We got locked out of our apartment once last year and it took 30 minutes for my hsuband to get into the house (used a metal bar and a plastic card to get in). We got new locks after that episode though. It was during the superbowl and I know no locksmith would of come out that night.
