I have not been sleeping well. I bet I only get about 4 hours of sleep a night. I know it is from stress. My 15 year old daughter is going in for her second knee surgery in less than one year. First she tore her ACL and meniscus playing basketball. Then she dislocated her knee. She is going in to have a chip removed and exploratory surgery to make sure that everything else is ok. I know it is not a major surgery but when it is one of your kids it is hard.
I hope when this is all over I will be able to sleep better!

I am sorry to hear about what happened to your daughter..I do hope she gets better soon.. Anyways, I don't sleep complete as well... I work at nights and sleep on days..I usually get 5 to 6 hours of sleep sometimes I wake in between because I have 5 kids and I tend to wake up at noises. After my work at nights I go online and stay in front of the pc to work again...Really hard but I got used to it.

Usually I sleep 8 hours evey night, if work is busy, perhaps 5-6 hours. Sometims presures and unhappy things make me sleepless. Though stuffs make sleep not an easy job. But anyhow, even I didn't sleep very well, after drink a coffee in the morning, I always tell myself,'just enjoy life, that's all.'

I try to sleep when I can. Sometime I get 2-4 hours at a time and I am up for a little bit. Some nights I get around 8-10 hours. I am also on chemo right now so that has a lot to do with it. I prefer getting a full night's sleep. It makes the day a lot easier to get through.

I sleep around 5-6 hours everyday because of school. I usually sleep around 12 midnight and wake up 5 am in the morning because of preparations to go to school like taking a bath, brush, breakfast etc. Not to mention the traffic and distance between out home and school.
My eye bags seems to be getting bigger each day haha...

To be honest, I wish I knew. I have a very irregular sleep pattern based on my many activities and writing. Sometimes I get a couple of 3 hour sessions (sometimes more and sometimes less) during a day and at other times I burn out and sleep about 11 hours in a row. I hope to regularize this someday, especially when I go through a phase of normal 7-8 hours a night, but I am beginning to believe that this is only wishful thinking.
StayHomeMom, you hang in there with your daughter. I had a small bit of cartilage removed from my right knee a couple of years ago. Recovery was a pain, but now I am as good as new. I suspect a similar irritating but full recovery will happen to her.

usually I sleep around 4 till 6 hours daily, but usually this happens on workdays when the tension just comes everyday and I have gotten difficulties to get away from not thinking how the work would turn out if I did it this way or that way, etc.
but during holidays, I can sleep around 7-9 hours a day. LOL. well, since there is nothing to bother when it comes to holidays.

i always believe that sleeping and drinking alot of water does miracles...
Hence i always try to sleep from 10-6 giving myself at least 8 hours of sleep each day... i know it may seem like a luxury for most people to sleep that long, but when youre awake you feel much more refreshed and energized! and your productivity increases!

I get maybe 6 hours at the most a night. I have a 2 and 3 year old that keep me on my toes constantly! No naps either. And they never fall asleep until around 11 most nights.. so im wired to stay up until like 1 or 2 am and get back up at 7! no naps for them mean no naps for mommy!

Well.. my hours of sleep are variabl.. They does not depend upon any consequences because i m still single and free of tensions.. However since the last 4 months i had been thougha tough training in my company.. That was an entry-level training so had to clear it.. But tell u seriously it was really very tough.. I had to study for hours and the day i would have my test would result in hardly a 3 hour sleep last nyt.. It has happened with me many a times that i would sleep for only 3 hours when there would be an exam next day even in my school days.. Infact i have even had sleepless nights during my college..
But anyway i m in a job now and i think i have an average of 7hours sleep during the weekdays and about 9-10 hrs of sleep during the weekend..
Oh by the way i hope your daughter gets well soon and u get to have proper rest..

I get about 6-7 hours sleep at night. That's because when I usually go out with friends I get home very late (after 1 am) and I have to get up early in the morning so I don't get much sleep, at least not as much as I would like. And sometimes when I have exams I don't sleep at all. I just study all night to make sure I do ok.
