Back when Ephedra was legal, I used an ephedra based dietary supplement to help me increase my heart rate while exercising. I drank TONS of water and used the medicine very responsibly. I shed over 30 lbs!
Now It's so much harder for me to lose. The ephedra based meds are a thing of the past. I'm trying to lose weight that I've kept on since my toddler was born. I need to lose at least another 45LBS
I know there were people who did die because they misused Ephedra. I feel like if something is misused it should be sold behind a counter to people who are over 18 and limit one item per purchase. I don't think it's fair to pull it from the market when it could have helped so many other people, responsible people.
I have a hard time reaching my target heart rate for cardio exercise. I have low BP and having something to increase that # by a little bit sure did help.
Can anyone recommend something with limited ephedra that's legal ? Or something that has no ephedra and REALLY works?
I just want something for a few wks to a month. That's how long of an interval I used ephedra (then Stacker 2's ) I am very careful with meds and feel that drug abusers ruin things for all of us.
What is your opinion on Ephedra? Is it good or bad? Do you judge the way people handle dangerous things (ie Guns, drugs, internet etc..) or do you Judge the item being misused?
For me, I'd judge against the people who misuse dangerous things.

Being in a Pharmaceutical Profession, I agree with JellyJam74 on this one. It was pulled for the dangers of the product itself not because of the abusers of the product. Also did you know that some people who suffered heart attacks from the product were not over doing it, that the FDA didn't regulate the product? Part of the reason that you could be having a hard time to reach your target heart rate could be due to the fact that you had used an epherdra based product in the past.
Research showes that the only actual way to lose weight & keep it off is to consume less calories than you use without putting your body in "starvation mode", don't you think that if there was a "MIRACLE PRODUCT" that there would be no overweight people to begin with?
Sorry if I sound like I am being harsh, but someone I know did suffer a heart attack from using "EPHEDRA" and no they weren't miss using it, they were taking it as per label instructions!!
