Did you ever have someone you did not know, and who did not know you do something really kind unexpectedly? I am still trembling as I sit here afer having put away my groceries. the wind was blowing a gale and I hated to have to walk against it carrying sacks of groceries one block after having got of the bus. So I called a cab, hating to spend that money but just really unable to face that really galeforce wind. The cab driver was unknown to me but very pleasant. when I got out and started to take out the six dollar fare he said non non and waited for me to unlock the pedestrian gate.then he carried my groceries for me up to my front door. Again I tried to give him my fare but he shook his head and said mama have a good day. God bless him but why did he do it.I mean the man is working for a living. Has this ever happened to you I mean someone unknown to you just out of the blue does something really nice for you?

Isn't that the truth there are still people out there who are generous and kind unlike the poster that thinks we are all bad people with bad advice I feel a bit sorry for that person his or her viewpoint seemed really warped and snobbish to say the least

There is a lot of good people out there. What that cab driver did was very nice. I have been int the store before and ran short on money like 2 dollars and something and the man behind me gave it to me. GOD Bless the ones like that.

I remember one time whenmy kids were really little andwe were short on money. we took our pickup to a parts store where my huband Garland wanted to buy some much needed parts for our pickup. He found that he did not have enough money to buy all the things he needed. we went to get back in our pickup and I stumbled and looked down. there were four bills on the ground. four one hundred dollar bills My husband asked all who were parked nearby if they had lost any money. Nobody had. we went inside the store again and asked if someone had called saying they had lost a lot of money No one had called so my husband bought the needed parts and still had money left over so he took me and our two kids out to dinner and we still had some grocery money left. my husband insisted God had heard his prayers and left that money there. we will never know.

Well nothing like THAT has ever happened to me, but i am glad that it happened to you! That was very nice of the cab driver. You should call the cab company and give praise to that cab driver, tell them he deserves a pay increase! lol. Dont tell them that he didn't take your fare, he may get in trouble for that, but tell them that he was SO NICE, and that you really appritiated what a good job he did and what a wonderful person he is and how lucky they are to have him as a driver! ehheeh i think that is what i would do ;)

Yes. We were attending a new church and didn't know very many people. Money was tight as we'd just been through some stuff financially but no one really knew us well enough to know that. One night I picked my daughter up from youth group at a church members home and she had a very big gift bag with her. She said 'Mrs.S told me someone left this for you'. Mrs.S came over and said that someone had left it for me and she didn't know who. When we got home, I opened it and there were two brand new winter jackets that my boys needed and a gift card to Walmart for something like $100. It was amazing to me that anyone would do something like that. I am grateful there are still people like the angel who gave me that gift and your cab driver. Pay it forward when and how you can. It feels even better than being on the receiving end.

this made me remember one birthday when I had a strep throat and really did not want to celebrate my birthday but my mom and sister took me out to dinner for a treat. I am sitting there really really hurting and I see a handsome man with grey hair talking to our waitress. she came over and said your dinners are already paid and you are to order whatever you would like.so I nixed anything too acidy and had my choice of an ice cream sunday and a big slab of lemon cheesecake with nice cold milk. I looked around for the man withthe silvery hair but he was gone. I had never seen him before but he saved the day in more than one way as allthat cold food soothed my sore throat and the next day I got up I was almost well Pay It forward I used to belong and have not been able to find them they were on the internet
