It is really good I went to my Brothers wedding one day and they had Sweetess Meatballs, with Barbecue Sauce, I thought that was good too. well one day, I wanted to make something different with Ham-burger, I wanted a meatloaf, and I put Barbecue Sauce on it. Make a meatloaf as you normally do, and had Barbecue sauce instead of Tomatoe sauce. It is very Good, I likd being creative in cooking don't you? Try it. Your family will love it!

When I make meatloaf, I like to shred carrots in my meatloaf. It gives added substance to the meatloaf, and color. That is what I do different when I make meatloaf.

I only ever tried using the bbq sauce on the meatloaf once. I liked it, but nobody else in the family did. I have a hunch that it was more the type of bbq sauce I used because once I tried using some sweet and sour homemade swedish meatball sauce and they liked it. I like to experiment too, it's fun and sometimes you come up with a real winner with a unique taste.

I'll have to try it...it sounds wonderful. I love meatloaf though I don't like the grease in it. I'd love to learn to make it where it doesn't come out with alot of grease in it.

Go ahead and try it, it is very good! How about Barbecue Sauce on fish pattie, that is good too, they serve that here with coleslaw on it too. I know you think that is weird but that is good too.

I never use tomato sauce...too bland. I've been using bar-b-que sauce since I was 13...once I tired it, I never went back. I mix it up and use a different kind, or make my own. Flavor is something I love, so I love to experiment with different things.

I love Barbequed Meatloaf. I make that every month or so. I love making different variations of meatloaf. I make one I call Taco Meatloaf. I use Doritoes and Salsa to make that one. I put cheese on it at the last minute to melt. I am very creative in my cooking. I have had to cook on a dime in the past. Hamburger is one thing that you can stretch and I think meatloaf is a good way to stretch a dollar.

Hi sherri, My Husband brought a big tub of Hamburger or Ground Beef. I made a few Meals out of it, first I made Spagetti, then I made Chill, and the last thing I made was Meatloaf, I wanted to be different so I put Barbecue Sauce on it. I love that too.

I always use barbecue sauce when I make meatloaf. I put it on top as well inside when I mix the ingredients together. It gives it a really good flavor. Another good thing to try with meatballs, it sounds kind of weird but really good, mix a large jar of grape jelly with a bottle of Heintz chili sauce and put it in a crock pot with the meatballs. Then just simmer, it's a great appetizer or for a party.

I have never heard of meatloaf with bbq sauce. I might try it sometime. I do like to experiment with food and like to cook when I have the free time to do it,but that is not often.

Try it you will love it. If you don't have B.B.Q sauce mixed some Cola and Kect-up together. I do this when I don't have B.B.Q sauce around.

Yum! Add mashed potato on the side and some fresh vegies and that would be really good! lol. I'm on pigout mode at the moment, and that would certainly go well on my list! lol.

Hi Marcie. I have tried meatloaf with barbecue sauce. It is really good cooked that way. I try to be creative when I cook also. I get tired of the same old thing. How do you cook your hamburger and barbecue sauce with yours? I can't stand alot fo grease is why I ask.

Yes I have tried that before, its very good! I make my own BBQ sauce and keep it in a canning jar in the fridge to use when we cook on the grill. Its a great idea to make up a couple jars of sauce ahead of time, it tastes better after being in the fridge for a while. Yum!

I have cooked meatballs in a crock pot with barbecue sauce many of times. However, I never even thought about it with meatloaf. I usually eat my meatloaf with ketchup.
Thank you greatly for the idea. I will have to do that next time I cook meatloaf.

Ugh! LOL! It sounds ok but, I don't like meatloaf. There is just something about it that has never been appealing to me. My mom made it now and then when I was a kid and I never liked it. And, my mom is a really good cook so, it wasn't hers that I didn't like. I have never liked anyone's meatloaf.
But, thank you for the suggestion! I like swedish meatballs. Those are tasty as heck!

Hmmm... meatloaf made with BBQ sauce. That sounds kind of good. I have never tried that before. I do like to alter recipes on occasion to flavor things up or just for a change. I recently began adding worcestershire sauce to my meatloaf... & the more the better I say! I also add a packet of Lipton or another brand dry instant onion soup mix, ketsup, about 2 slices of fresh bread crumbled up or bread crumbs from a can (but I usually don't have them in the house plus I like fresh bread better), & I also add one egg. Oh, I almost forgot... a pound or more of hamburger too. Actually, lately I've been using lean ground turkey because it is so much lower in fat & calories than regular ground beef, even if you buy the extra lean ground beef. Man... nothing hurts worse than kneading the mixture... it's soooo cold! Don't you agree?! I usually feel like my hand is going to fall off afterwards... LoL! I'll have to try adding BBQ sauce to my meatloaf someday for a nice change of pace. Thx for the tip marciascott!
