Dieting and eating healthy

Most of us have done it, we're on the diet wagon, off the diet wagon, we try all sorts of things, get all amped up for "this new diet", then it goes down hill. What are some diet successes for you? If you have lost weight without the help of dieticians, doctors, or surgery-- if you have done it on your own without expensive programs-- what has been the major thing that has worked for you? Have you stuck to your plan and do you work out on a regular basis?
I am coordinator of a competition at work, starting tomorrow, whoever can lose the most weight wins the money. I'm looking for weight loss tips that have worked for you in the past, or whatever you're doing now that has worked so well.
Feedback much appreciated!

I have lost weight from walking and cutting out the "bad carbs" and replacing them with a better carbohydrate choice. Don't get me wrong if I wanted chocolate or chips I would eat them just not the whole bag or the whole bar, I would share and I wouldn't do it often maybe once every two weeks. I really didn't have to cut out a lot of sugar in my diet since I really didn't consume that much to begin with although I did change the cream in my coffee to milk and did change the 1 sugar to splenda. I will be jumping on the diet wagon myself since it was a cold cold winter I haven't walked and noticed that I have gained weight (my pants are way to tight..lol) Good luck to you.

I agree with you. I've cut out the sweets, stopped drinking cola, I'm trying to change sugar over to Splenda too. Good luck!

the best way to lose weight is to run or jogg every single day for an hour. if you do this you will lose pounds and pounds of weight. i did this myself and i lost a lot of weight and i am very happy. i am happy that i did it because i knew that it would work as long as i start believing that i could do it.
