Are you an Ebay addict?

I have had an eBay account for a few years now and never really became fanatical about buying off the site but I do not really enjoy shopping even when out in the city centre.
Saying that though I have bought quite a few big things including a Nintendo DS and a laptop.
I have though sold quite a few things on eBay such as concert tickets (3 sets).
Well last week I sold tickets for my Mum. She had 2 tickets to see someone that she paid 10 pounds for and we sold them for 45 pounds so we more than doubled our money. My friend gave me a brand new phone to sell for him which still has 2 days left so fingers crossed.
So I decided to put on a few things for myself. I put on some Betty Boop stuff I had lying around and a very very old instant camera vintage.
So my discussion is do you love eBay and what have you bought and sold?

No, not really. I do not sell on Ebay because of their fees. First, to me it used to be a site for sellers like me to profit. Now it looks like Ebay wants to get rich of everything I am selling. If I want something sold online, I go to other sites that sell my specific items. For instance, if I want to sell my video games or trade it, I can do so at gamestop.com or goozex.com. When it comes to buying things, I do tend to use ebay sometimes to buy stuff, but most of the time I am either using amazon, buy, or overstock.com

Ebay suits me cos I am normally using my paypal so fair enough.
I know that the Uk side of the site reviewed their fees the otherday and they are much cheaper now so you might wanna check them out.
I think the insertion fee is down to 10pence

Och I know that you can but obviously you will have to post to the UK and that would mean that you are less likely to get people bidding cos of high postage costs.
I can go on and look at US stuff and sometimes I do if something hasn't been released here in the UK yet.
Surely though the .com version of the site has put down their fees too.

I've never sold anything on ebay, but I have bought a few items. Odds and ends stuff that I just couldn't find in stores around my place.
The first things I bought were some Hallmark "Wizard of Oz" ornaments that go in a series I started collecting years ago. Then I got some old Nintendo games.. you know, the original NES ones like Mario Bros and Tetris? heheeh.. I even got a "Game Genie" because I SUCK at video games. Then a bradford exchange plate to replace one that nuckfuts destroyed. And a few other odds and ends. No more than 15 things since I started ebaying years ago.

Plates from the Bradford Exchange are collectible plates with various paintings and designs on them. Plates that are meant purely for decoration, not to be eaten from. lol. My one and only set is a Wizard of Oz 8 plate set... each plate having a small music box attached, that plays a song from the movie.

I also have an ebay account but i dont think i am an addict for it. I've sold some of my stuff and my baby's stuff for a good price through ebay and i also bought a few things that we're really good for a cheap price. right now, i don't have anything to sell so i'm just okay with checking out stuff that might get my interest or i might need.

I used to be an eBay addict. I buy bags, tops and accessories. Now, it's just so difficult to stay addicted because I don't have that much money. hehe. But I still visit the site just to search what new hip stuff they have on bid. Online version of window shopping. hehe.

Yeah it is good for just been curious. Quite often I just search completed items. Its in advanced search to see what previous stuff has went for. Not that I want them or have them but just to see what kind of deals people have got themselves.

I also have an account in Ebay. In fact in the past I tried to sell via Ebay. But it seems it's very complicated and the page isn't clear and nice in my opinion. Besides, it will charge me some fees even if I haven't sold anything yet. So later I gave up selling there. I haven't bought anything from Ebay yet. Whereas I often buy from Taobao which is a Chinese website similar with Ebay. I like it because I can contact with the buyer so that I can know more what I am going to buy.

No, I have been on ebay a few times. I don't like the though of betting on something, I would much rather just pay one flat fee and be done with it. Plus I would not want to have to wait for something because others want it.

I used to be an ebay addict, i tried to start my own small buisness on there, but then it failed and i just ended up buying loads of stuff off there! lol. I think that it is a very good website, as you can get nearly anything you need off there at a reasonable price =]

I have a few friends that are crazy about ebay. Sell everything there. I even met a few people who make a living from what they sell on ebay. I have never really gotten into it honestly. I have an account because I have bought a few things but never sold anything. Always say I am going to and then I don't

I am an ebay seller. I sold household products, most of the time are quality Fridge and kitchen plastic container. I enjoy selling on ebay. I have a full time job, so i just check my email every night and do the wrapping and posting during off-office time. It is tiring, but worth for the extra money to pay off some bills. Life been tough here.

I have been an ebay member but I never really take the time to check out the site at all. I guess I am just not a big fan of shopping online and go through all the bidding and stuff. Sometimes I just check it out because I want to know what kind of price ranges of certain items have fallen into. I tried selling some of the stuff there, but my stuff never sold, so I was like "disappointed" with the site *laughs*.

I used to be. Then ebay really peed me off. I don't do hardly any business on there now at all. I have switched to ecrater and etsy.

Wow that does not sound good. I was actually reading something the other day on the internet similar to this about not being able to contact them by phone cos they weren't publishing their number but I do know that now on the UK version of the site they have and I do know the UK version has brought down their prices but thats all I can say.
I don't use eBay to make serious money. I just use it when I have something I don't want.

Well, don't ever turn pro. That's when they start screwing you. I always did fine when I only sold occassionally too.
