Sometimes its real hard for me to find a discussion that i really want to respond too. Then i will make my own discussions and noone responds to them. I dont know if i start them at the wrong time or what. Oh well that doesnt matter. I do like the juicier subjects over the day to day subjects. What kind of subjects do you perfer. What do you look for when you go post on discussions? Do you only look at the top discussions or do you search all the ways to look up discussions? If i dont find anything on the top discussions i look at friends and new discussions and stuff like that. How do you do it

there seems to be an abundance of one liner questions/discussions by newbies.. i hate that! i tend to troll the discussions with no responses to try and get the most recent discussions and add something fresh, but lately its harder and harder to find something even worth the hassle.. i like discussions from my interests, but i dont like to answer a discussion that already has 4,000 responses, if that make sense

it makes sence b/c you know that if not one more than one person has said what you want to say in some other way or other. I have also noticed that new people will do one liners and its annoying theyll have the question on the top then do something like.
What do you think about this
or something like that. its annoying

I think that it is impossible for me to be specific about what attracts me to a discussion. Why did I come here and not to your post on ghosts? I am interested in the paranormal too. But today I don't want to talk about them The great thing is the post will still be there tomorrow by when I might have changed my mind. I suspect that we all occasionally think "that would make a great topic" only for it to die. But that's life. In the words of the song; "pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and start all over again".

It is hard some days to find a discussion that strikes a chord or you feel that you can answer too, but there are a lot of regulars who post some great discussions and I respond to theirs all the time because I can connect with the discussion in some way. Other than that if I am having trouble finding something I start from the top of my list in the discussions bit at the side of the page and work my way down until I find something. I have real trouble thinking of anything to post that I think people might find interesting, I like to really think about what I put on and so it takes me a while at the minute to think of anything! Maybe I will have more brainwaves as I go along.

Oh, sure, it's very difficult to find a *nice* discussion to respond too. Sometimes I spend 20-30 minutes searching for a discussion. That's beacuse many discussions are unuseful or not nice. And, moreover, English isn't my mother language, and I don't speak it very well. So, it's more difficult for me than for English people...

Hello,
I have not responded to many myself. I don't see a lot to respond to, or when I do I find I'm very tired from working and do not feel like responding to the many that I wanted to.
I likewise, have started them and had no replies. It just depends on if anyone else is interested in what we are talking about or asking. The same as it is with us responding.
I do see that you have started some I would have responded to if I had seen them. Maybe this is why others have not responded as well.

Yes, I agree that it is sometimes rather tough.
For me, I normally go to hot and top discussions then discussions started by my friends.
I will also check out those discussions with no responses.
Also, I have notifications turned on for some posters so there.

Yes, it has been a little hard for me to find discussions that I can respond to. Sometimes, the topics are not known to me. There are also instances when the topics are not at all interesting. I have noticed that lately, myLot has been flooded with one liner posts and they do not really interest me that much. What I normally do is to look at the discussions my friends started because I am sure that most of my friends here at myLot post quality discussions.

I have problems with this sometimes too...I really want to post some answers but then I go through all my friends lists and the top discussions and the ones with no responess and I feel like I am wasting more time looking for a discussion I am interested in that actually participating in the discussions themselves!
One thing that is good to do is go down through your interests...sometimes you'll find some good ones you missed or whatever it is that might suit your mood for the day :)

Hello libertarian,
Yeah, you are right, I find it very hard to find discussions I really want to respond. Sometimes when I got online, I read first on discussions and just remember the headings of discussions I want to come and reply, but then after a while, it gives me hard time finding the exact discussion again.
Last month, when I was new year, I tend to shift my schedule of being online to notice when lots of mylotters get online, and when I can notice lots of discussions posted, and then I observed, when I post discussions during morning here, I receive lots of responses, and then, there are also lots of discussions I found to respond to. The only problem is I can't get online every morning, as I have lots of work to do, most are house work. I can just get online for an hour very early, but not enough time to post lots of responses and discussions.
I usually go on different section, I visit my friends discussions, new users discussions, top and hot topics including those recent discussions and then discussions from my interest. I want to surf every section so I can be able to read the discussions which were posted, if only the number of discussions are manageable i want to read it all. lol.

Sometimes I feel the same way, I'm finding it hard to look for a topic that I would like to comment on. I'm more interested in discussions about life and food. But sometimes even in these categories, I couldn't find any that's why I just post some pictures or make a new discussion myself. I'm just new here, so I browse first what are the topics in certain categories were already taken up, but to my surprise there are topics similar to what I would like to post. Luckily the ones that I posted have at least 1 who responded to it.

This is what's happening to me right, I don't like the feeling since I should be having more posts to respond to knowing that the payments has somehow returned to it's normal rate.
Back then, I could only look on my friend's list and the new discussions posted without even worrying my preferred target on posting. But now, it seems that I have to look at almost every category to just catch up with some discussions I'm interested in posting at..

Usually I take a quick look at the top discussions and see if there is anything there. If there is nothing that I am interested in, I move on to discussions my friends started. If I still can't find anything, I check out some of my interests. I was really active on here for several months last year, but then most of my friends that I routinely responded to left, and I got bored with it. I started doing other sites instead. Lately I've decided to come back over here, at least a couple of times a week.

It really depends on my mood. Some days I want to chat without going into a lot of serious discussion or having to think too hard. Some days I'm feeling very liberal and will enjoy discussing politics, environment or the news. And then there are days when I'm feeling a little wacky and look for totally fun topics. I look at my email notifications first, then to friends and interests and also the new discussions. I can be very tenacious and other times I'll get off the site quickly.

I usually look at top discussions, then friends, then new discussions. Most of the time I respond to friends discussions. Just depends on the day! lol
