I have a large bowl of different kinds of fruit in my kitchen now. My favorite to grab is a banana, but I grab an apple when I'm going for a walk. Do you have one fruit you usually grab or does it change depending on your mood?
Does your bowl have more of one kind of fruit, than any other kind? Mine has a mixture of grapes, apples and bananas now, but when I find a good sale, then I like to add blackberries, cherries, blueberries and raspberries.

I am very fond of fruit - but in the fruit bowl I generally only put durable fruits - such as orange, grapefruit, apples (a couple varieties) and bananas...
It really depends on my mood and what I am going to be doing as to which one I grab.
The citrus I usually will only have if I am going to be sitting down to eat it-
the apple is a favorite for me to take - so long as they are crisp and not mealy I especially like to grab a tart apple
the only time I grab a banana is if it is for someone else or a recipe

Thank you for a detailed response. I do think it depends on what I'm doing which one I would grab.

I'll grab a banana before any other kind of fruit, but it can't be too ripe or I give it to some other family member. Right now I have apples and bananas and this huge bag of oranges my husband got at a roadside stand. I had to throw a bunch of them away - so much for his bargain, but he thought it was a good thing. I'll have to cut up those oranges or they won't eat them - food has to jump right out at the guys in this house, including fruit! And would love to have those berries around, but the prices have been way too high lately!

Thanks for the reply. I use the overripe bananas to make muffins. I'm planning to buy a rack for muffins, so I'm only eating treats that are low in fat and sugar.

Yeah I like my fruit but seriously I don't eat enough of it but I wish i did to be honest with you. I don't know it is there on the table in a bowl which I have a bit of a variety of. I have apples and bananas and oranges. I mostly like berries all kinds really too. I should remember to have it but I just get really busy sometimes and just forget. It is worthwhile and so good for you too. I know I like to grab strawberries they are one of my favourites.

I try, I really do try and my fruit bowl usually has bananas and whatever is in season, but I more often than not grab a banana, it's the only fruit that never gets thrown out.

I eat a banana every morning with my breakfast. If I was just walking by a fruit bowl I would probably grab grapes. They are on of my favorites.

If the bowl had a pear in it that is what I would grab, if not it would be a banana.

I like cranberry juices and also I like banana with peanut butter.
But i like peanut butter and jelly sandwich on toast..this is a good thing for breakfast and then I go to the gym and work out..it helps me lose weight and it sticks to my stomach but it has a heavenly taste to me..

Right now my fruit bowl has oranges, bananas, pears, and peaches. I usually will reach for a pear first, but if we had plums, I would definately pick a plum first.

I always grab a banana as first choice or failing that an apple. i tend to have more apples available as the family quickly eat all the bananas. Cherries are my favourit fruit but they cost so much here in the UK, most are imported. During the brief cherry season there are a few English ones available down south but not around here. Mainly I pick my own from a few wild trees I know of.

Thanks for the reply. I love cherries also. They are costly here or my fruit bowl would have lots of them.

we don't usually keep a bowl of fruits but if there's one fruit that I'd like, that's the mango. Love the sweet taste of it and I live on a tropical country so basically, I grew up eating mangoes and I never get tired of it's taste

I don't keep a bowl of fruit out on the counter. I will purchase something and put it in the refrigerator. Then the kids grab whatever they want when they need a snack. I prefer the bananas.

I love banana's and grapes. Apples and pears are also really good. Oranges are good but messy :) I love watermelon and cantaloupe too although their not really "grab" type fruits. Strawberries, blueberries, raspberries are all good and I love them in the summertime.

I will grab an apple as a last resort of the fruit that might be in my fruit bowl. Then I am always surprised at how much I enjoyed it. Isn't that funny?

So, I don't have a fruit bowl, it's more like a fruit section on my counter. Right now all it has are bananas cause I could eat them all day. At any time I have bananas, apples, lemons, grapes and peaches if they are in season. Fruit salad actually sounds really good right now. LOL

My fruit bowls hardly contains much of anything :( I live together with my younger bro, and because its just the two of us, most of the time we didnt bother buying fruits, or just buying a few to make sure we can finish it off before it goes bad. Anyways favourite fruit is banana woww I love it, but the thing is I love banana that is still a tiny bit green, and with nice colours only (have no idea why ...) anywaysss I hate bananas with spots on it :P
