How Much Cheating Is Too Much Cheating?

Is it me or am I the only one who refuses to sweep this New England Patriot scandal under the carpet? Everyone else seems to have a business as usual attitude and I'm saying, enough is enough. Come on, syping on the opposing teams' playbook? How low can you be? When we play football with our friends, it's unthinkable to cheat like that. Anyonw who tests positive to performance enhancing drugs and is found guilty of this should be thrown off the team. Period. As for the Patriots, the whole franchise should be put on suspension for an entire season. Maybe then people will sit up and take notice. I know, sports is big business. Money is more important than values when you ask the greedy. What a shame. Tell me what you think. Am I being a little too harsh or do you believe people may actually learn a lesson and straighten up?

I agree with you, they shouldn't of been able to finish the season. If it had been a less popular team or one not named the Patriot's the NFL might of been harsher. I was mad to see that people seemed to just forget about it and now they have an almost perfect season on their record. what a joke. I emailed the NFL and told them how disgusted I was that they let the Patriots get away with cheating. people that feel the Patriot's shouldn't get away with cheating should send an email to the NFL and tell them so. if the 'people' rise up and put pressure on the NFL they might do something. They make their money from fans, we should have some power!! http://www.nfl.com/, go to this website and at the bottom of the page you will find the "contact us" option.

I agree that something should have been done to New England other then the money they was charged with. One thing I think they shouldn't have been allowed to play in the Super Bowl. I think they should have been suspened for the rest of the year and the franchise should have been been made to pay half of everyone's paycheck from the owner down to the waterboy.

WOW!! I like your payment plan. I wouldn't mind being the water boy in this case. That would be a pretty nice hunk of change.

It's no different than the folks in hollywood can break every rule/law there is and get away with it. I mean it's getting to be a fact that if you have money, you can literally get away with Murder. I think everyone will be looking at the Patriots sideways now. Heck, they've been cheating since the 1973(?) game with the Dolphins when they had the maintenance guy drive out on the field with the snow plow. Remember that one? I was traveling on the day after the superbowl so I didn't get to rub it in on a few of the patriot fans at work, but I was EXTREMELY pleased with the outcome. Especially since they had trademarked "19-0" and a book already on the printing presses! I love it!! Nobody remembers and undefeated season. Everyone remembers a superbowl winner!! Cheers, Ed GO PITT!!

I agree with you. It disgusts me to think they cheated and got away with it. Yea they got fined $500,000. (or so I think). Big whoop! Brady along can pay that and still wont make a dent in his account, much less that was for the whole team. Luckily they didnt win the superbowl. I was mad enough that they were there and chated let alone would have won it. I think they should have ben banned for the rest of the season. But youre right, the rich just want to get richer.

Thank you for your input. I'm feeling better now that I know I'm not the only one ticked off at this.
