Sorry if I seem ignorant - what is happening with Barry Bonds? I know he has to appear in court, does it mean he has retired from playing Baseball?

I don't know if any team is going to pick him up but I do hope they get this trial over with. Seriously, let's get this over with and go from there. Until Barry announces his retirement, I'm assuming he's still active at the moment. I guess the only thing Barry is doing is trying to keep out of trouble and not cause anymore controversy.

I noticed that as well. I'm right now just wanting to see what happens. If he's guilty, then so be it. I haven't seen any evidence saying he has done them. Only time will tell on this one. Only time will tell.

Barry has not retired he just cannot get anyone to sign him. He is a free agent and he still wants to play but no team in baseball is willing to sign him.

Many thanks for the response - do you think there is a chance that if he is cleared by the courts clubs will want him?

My son told me that no team signed Barry Bonds to play this season.

No he has not officially retired yet, but I doubt anyone will sign him. Bonds just wants to play so that he can get 3000 hits. Once he gets that, he'll hang it up for good.
