Yes, it is possible...
It happens here alot...I always assume that it is Mom...or another of my family or friends that have gone before me telling me that they are close...I always say a thank you for coming to check on me and go on with life...
Do not panic, my friend...
Hugs,
Tina

Gaby,
I need to tell you contact of this kind is rare. Please don't be afraid, I can feel your fear hun. I don't have time for back ground info on me in this matter. Your fear is strong and it is hurting you. They do not want you to be afraid, this is a loving out reach from someone you love. Have you lost someone recently? maybe a mother figure? this person is trying to stroke you, my hands are moving in a petting motion. Calm yourself. they are kissing and blessing you. Soft and gentle like a mother. maybe not a recent loss maybe a recent contact. They have tried other ways to say hello, this is an aggressive kind of contact in a non aggressive way. It is in love not to hurt. i am sorry if this scares you, please I will explain later privately i promise.

I feel a recent connection in the energy. I was not sure with how far away I am if it is a recent loss or a recent attempt at contact. It has also been a long time since I have reached out to the spirit realm for direct contact with someone specific so my skills are rusty. Your contact is a loved one, they are teasing you like a hahaha we scared you, something this person would have done in physical form in a fun way. the cold around them could be from a distance so it may be me being so far away or that they left physical form a while back and I am feeling it. This person want to pet you like it was something they did in your past to comfort you. The intention was to say hi not to scare you and they feel bad for the fright but they still find it funny. They are not here because something is wrong they have been trying to say hi for a while and either just came into the skill of physical manipulation or they have been trying in lesser ways and finally decided on the light to get your attention. this person is very gentle, very loving, and feels for you like a mother for a child When I reach out I feel a swell of pride the same feeling I get when I think of my children. When I have some time maybe tonight I will send you a pm on the things that I do, it is something that is very private to me and I don't normally display them in a public form but this was a special circumstance and a private message was not going to be fast enough. I hope this helps you, I hope you know it was in love and not to scare you. I hope you don't hate me for this information, it can be very hard to take it in when it is thrown on you so fast. I lost my best friend over something like this and have never shared anything with anyone since. I am sending you love my dear and sleep well in the knowledge that you are loved. Blessings.

do you have mice that could be in the walls, touching the wiring? Have you talked to the neighbors to see if this is occurring to them as well? Is anyone having work done in your area?

It could be a power surge of electricity going through. But I would check the breakers. You might try turning everything off and then back on again to reset the breakers. I hope this gets solved for you soon, honey.

I would have guessed a short in the lamp, but the person who said mice or something in the walls could be right. I have heard of that. That would explain why it was one room and then another.

That is bizzare that only the one light is doing this in the room. Though the only explanation that I would have for that, it could have a short in the light. Should maybe check it out to see if the could possibly be the case.

I have not had a problem with my lights going on and off but I tell you what did happen today and I thought it was really strange. I came in with my 2 year old daughter from taking my 2 boys to school and we were both in the kitchen when I heard my cordless phone being lifted out of the cradle and the noise of buttons being pressed as though someone was dialling a number. My daughter and I just looked at each other and I said whats that and we both went into the other room where the phone was and it stopped. When I picked the phone up on the display the star button had been pressed 7 times! No one else was in the house it really really spooked me and I dont know why it happened. I told my husband and he said did the buttons get stuck, I said they cant have done because the phone has not been used since last night and I could hear it dialling as though someone was pressing the buttons, because it makes a noise with each number thats pressed. Strange ah?

It all depends on how the wiring is done, and if there is a power surge through just one circuit. Do you have surge protectors for you computer. That is what would worry me. Is your house older and did a "do it yourselfer live there?" In our first house we did not have upstairs a/c, so we got a fan and put it on a dresser. Hubby ended up having to sleep days or something, different from what he had been doing.I was downstairs doing something. He turned on the fan. As a result, the light in the downstairs living room came on. If he turned it up in speed, the light got brighter downstairs.I decided then and there that that was how some haunting stories got started. He was pretty good about wiring and stuff, so he re did the wiring, except he was not that good, or the house was just all put together weird, because the next thing we knew, if we ran the fan upstairs the porchlight outside came on. It was just a matter of non professionals doing the wiring. I would worry about getting a surge protector, though. Do you have new neighbors that might have some fancy electrical stuff?

I am not sure, but maybe you have ghost playing with you...
Other option is broken switch that can loosing connection...
I would turn it off and see what happen...

Sounds to me like there may be a short in the wiring - if it's a lamp you might want to check the cord and make sure Gissi hasn't chewed on it. If the cord is fine then you might try the lamp in a different plug and see if it does the same thing there.
If it doesn't then sounds like you could have a problem with that one particular plug and may need to have an electritian check it out.

Maybe your magnetic personality is drawing energy :) Does sound spookie, if it's just that lamp I think I would be getting rid of that lamp :)

Hi Dearie, before you go on feeling spooky, might as well you get someone to check on the light bulb. Maybe, its time to replace it with a new one or there's just some loose electric wires. It happened to my house from time to time. What I did was to hire an electrician and rewired everything. Since then, I didn't encounter any problem at all. :)

It is possible if you have a damaged wire somewhere. I'm not an electrician or any kind of expert, but if each bulb has it's own wire at any point in the fixture, it seems to me there is a possibility of that wire becoming broken or some other damage happening that could make it connect. If my understanding is correct, to turn on a light, you flip a switch which makes to wire ends tough each other so the circuit is complete. If there is something wrong in there, that might make it touch randomly. Have someone professional look at it. The music building at my University is having a similar problem due to old wiring that needs some work. A couple lights for the stage occasionally come on for no apparent reason. The electrician said it's known as "Phantom wiring", and it is fixable.
