i recently went out for a pizza with my kids and was amazed at all yhe different types of pizza they have out there,being a chef i usually make my own at home or at work and bring it home for my kids,i know that everyone has a different taste for things but a pizza is only a pizza when it has certain toppings ,i noticed you have pizzas with everything from the usual toppings to fruits and nuts this isnt pizza anymore its a ( i dont even have a word for it )but anyway why not leave good enough alone..

I totally agree with you the last time my grandkids were here and we ordered pizza they had to have it with pineapple on it I was like what do you want on it? I had never heard of it lol of course they got their way and I picked off the pineapple. Have a great day!

I couldn't agree more. When I first starting seeing pizza with stuff like pineapple I was amazed. I love pineapple in desserts, on ham and with cottage cheese and just to eat plain, but on PIZZA? I know there are now lots of people who just love it but give me a pizza with lots of cheese and sauce then add whatever combination of sausage, pepperoni, peppers, mushrooms, onions, Canadian bacon, and things like that. Some like black olives and (UGH!) anchovies, which I don't care for but at least these are "traditional" pizza toppings. I love to experiment when I cook but there are some things I see no need to mess with, and pizza is one of them.

the pizza I had in Italy bears little resemblance to most pizza in the US. My parents are from Italy and they didn't even put cheese on theirs...just roasted veggies (peppers and tomatoes).
Some of the toppings here look disgusting...bbq chicken, pineapple with ham, alfredo, "meat lovers"...

Boy do I agree. A True pizza doesn't have pineapple or BBQ chicken on it.Call me a traditionalist but A pizza has a tomato based sauce some mozzarella cheese and maybe a meat topping like pepperoni or sausage. Everything else is a pie Not a pizza.

Well I personally love some of the different topping they have. I especially love the mediterranean pizza.But you are right, with all the different toppings pizzas are starting kinda feel like a piece bread with whatever you can put on it. I love just plain cheese or pepperoni as well but sometimes I do get a little bored so I find variety to be more exciting at times.
