I'm 21 years old and have never had a problem with acne until about five months ago. I don't want to go see a dermatologist just yet. Instead i'm giving the holistic approach a try. I first started by changing my diet. I included more fresh vegetables and multi-vitamins, and started exercising. After seeing no change after a few week I turned to old wives tales like applying fresh garlic, honey, potatoe. Does anyone know of any other remedies?

I've had acne since I was 11 and I am 32 now. I don't have it nearly as bad as I had it in my teens but I have mild PCOS and that probably explains as to why I have it. Diet does help, for sure but I have tried many other things and nothing gets rid of it 100%. Let me know what works for you, perhaps I haven't tried it. I have tried pretty much everything other than acutane. But mine is not so severe that I would need that now anyway. At one time I did but was afraid since I wanted kids.. now I have my kids, who cares lol
