They say we are going to get close to 40 cm of snow that is 15.7 in for you non metric users! WHOA!! The snow is already up to our knees everywhere and that was after a few days of warmer weather, but i can tell you its not very warm out there now. Do you live in part of the world getting hit with a storm right now?
SEND CHOCOLATE BEFORE I GET SNOWED IN;)

Yes, we are just having a storm end. We have approximately a foot of snow, with blizzard conditions. It started yesterday and is just starting to calm down. We are banned from being on the street.

Thats what you get ya goof for living in Canada. you know there is a reason they call it the great white north right? LMAO WE have had some snow this weekend. Our biggest storm of the winter, but as so often happens by the time it got to us, the punch was gone and we only got about 2 inches. Though parts of Tennessee saw much more then that. Okay Sweet heart I have bunches of your conversations to get caught up on here so I am off to see what else you have been up to this week. Well you and everyone else. :))) LOVE YA

I can well imagine, you're snowed in Sissygrl, where you are. I've 'never' seen so much snow here in Oshawa, and I am finding it depressing. I've been home alone (mostly) for the past two days, and am supposed to be going out tomorrow. The snow is right up to our front step, and I can't tell where the step ends, and the snow starts. Our 'condo people' are supposed to shovel it, but so far they've done nothing. If it's not cleared by morning, I'll have to stay put.:( I don't even think the snow's stopped yet. My neighbour has offered to shovel for me, if 'they' don't come through. You have my empathy for sure.

wow that sounds like you got as much or more snow then we did. I have seen this much snow before many times, i used to live on the east coast and there have been times when the snow has been much higher then this.. But it doesn't happen every winter.
In 04 we had a blizzard that dumped so much snow on us that the entire city was shut down for almost a week. people were stuck at work, and some people stuck in their homes, no power to some places, The employee's at the booze store had fun i bet ;P
I met my hubby during this begining of this storm and we got snowed in together. it is quite the story, but its a long one, i'll save it for another day!

not really this very minute..but been hit once that when im still in grade one..i still can remember it when my parents were very busy packing our some important things for evacuaton since we were warned that a tidal wave was going to hit our shore...im leaving that time just 2 kilometers from the shoreline..after our region was hit by a typhoon and flooded some parts of our place and was followed by an earthquake afterwards..it was then predicted that people living near the shoreline should evacuate or leave their respected homes to a higher ground...but luckily after 2 days it did not happened...

No I don't live anywhere near that type of snow storms nor will I ever again. I lived in New York for 9 months and I hated every minute of it so I moved back to Virginia and hated it there too and eventually married and moved out of state and couldn't be happier!

Holy Moly!
15.7 inches (yes, I use inches). My gosh. Sorry to hear about this crazy storm for you. All we got was the rainstorm. Actually, our state was sending alarms everwhere- radio, newspaper, TV, about preparing the flood. This was also the date of the concert. Luckily, we lucked out. It barely flooded at all. And right after the concert (starting to get near midnight), the rain stopped! We were so surprised when we stepped outside. So, the weather forecast had a wrong call. But today is just blustery.
Hope you can get out of the place now, and not haev to shovel till your arms fall off. :o(
I do love seeing snow though (playing in it only when I was a child though, hee hee).
WARM wishes to you, Siss!

Here in London, Ontario (2 hrs west of Toronto, for those who are unfamiliar), we are getting bombarded with snow as well. It's insane how it hasn't stopped all day long!
The winds are atrocious as well. And the snow is so light and fluffy. Scary white out conditions for sure!
I refuse to send you any chocolate. It's one thing I don't share. Sorry. :P

We had been snowed in all day and been on a level 3 alert until about a couple of hours ago..(for those who don't know, level 3 means that if you are caught driving, you will get a ticket) But I knew this was coming, so I had my husband pick up chocolate chips and I already have chocolate cookies that are really good..:D
(I left in my other discussion that you are welcome to come over, but looks like you may be stuck for a while, I will try to hold off the animals here to leave you a couple..lol)

We had a wicked storm about a week ago. We had more than 15 inches in a day, and it took all day to dig out of it. It bothers me when I have to change my plans, but otherwise, it's not that big a deal. I complain, but mostly because I miss spending time outside- without having to spend 30 minutes bundling my son and me up first.
More recently, we had a wind storm. It was the first time the power went out all winter, and it was howling so loud it kept me up half the night. Our son slept with us for half the night because with the power out it got a little cold. Hopefully it will calm down today and I can get some sleep tonight.

The rain here was unbelievable! I was worried we would get flooding right up until 7 pm EST today. I live at UConn and we usually get snow, so I'm grateful that I won't have to shovel this time around. As some here might know, the Cincinatti men's basketball team couldn't make it to Storrs because they were held up by snow in Ohio. That's why the game was rescheduled to today! :) Yay!
