Do you add comment all those who responded the discussion of yours?

Or else, you are choosy in answering/adding comment to those responded to your topic? Because i see, some of my friends here, yeah.. they are in my friends list, they often respond to select persons who responded to their discussions, knowing well that it their friend who have answered them. And another pattern of mylot friends i find here, as some of them are more focussed in starting topics, and never return to see if they are responded are not? Now my point is do you like this kinda attitude or justify this approach. P.S: It is my observation that i am revealing here and not showing any faulty signs. Have a good day friends:)

I know about you friend, you always find time to respond to those who have responded you. Also i must make it a point here, that all your topics are very qualitative in nature. Keep going friend:)

It shows your humbleness.. and ha.. ha.. my topics are so very common in nature and i feel it is not qualitative enough.

well thanks for that I would not call them qualitative in nature as you did in mylot I find a venue to vent my self :)

I think if possible, it is good practice to comment back on the discussions you start. This is also why I sometimes do not start topics for a long time - because I know I won't have time to comment back. If I can spare the time and energy, I normally comment on every response. Sometimes if I am lacking in either or both of the above resources, then I will randomly comment on some. The ones I perceive having more quality or effort will usually get commented on.

Nah... I feel embarrassed when you say this. I don't always do that because as you rightly pointed out, it is really very time consuming - especially when myLot is behaving slow.

Certainly this question is not for you, my friend. The reason is i have seen you commenting on almost all the responses that you get. I have even wondered how you manage, whole such a thing. This is not for flattery, i write. I give you an example. I see some of your topics getting more than hundreds of responses. Now suppose, after commenting on a topic say, in first page, you go on responding to others comments, say you have come to the tenth page of the responses. Now the person, who responded to your topic,in the first page, adds his further comment on your response means, then comes the difference between you and others. Others, inclusive of me will leave it unnoticed and add further comments, from the tenth page onwards. Whereas, every time you go through all the pages right from page one of the comment to till the last page and add your further comments. This is really a painstaking effort. Hats off to you. I hope that i have conveyed clearly what i wanted to say.

Probably you wont find enough time to spend here in mylot. As long as you dont choose and answer at random then there is nothing wrong i feel, but some of the friends here are so very choosy, in responding to their topics.

I comment on responses if they are good or interesting and if I want to agree or disagree with what was said. If a response is just a single sentence that needs no comment I will not add one. I see it as a way of carrying on a conversation and it makes the discussion more interactive.
• India

Certainly if the response donot require any further prolongs or drags then there is no use in carrying on. Our aim must be to keep the discussion informative and also interactive as you said. Thanks for respodning.

As much as possible when I make a discussion, I try to respond to all of them as a way to show appreciation to what they've done. However there would come a time when you absolutely can't say anything about their response, I then would leave it uncommented.

Congrats DevilHands, for reaching the milestone of 100 posts, and more importantly you have acquired the nine star rating. That shows that the quality of your posts and responses is of really high standard, and therefore it needs no further discussions about good attitude.Keep it up comrade. Take care.

they tell you in the guidelines not to respond to responses, you are not paid for it, and therefore anyone who does not is just following the rules, set out by mylot. I would never have time to respond to everything, there is just too many responses and I have to be productive with my time. I do reply to the ones I feel need responding too, and I rate everyones.

here it is pasted directly from the guidelines which you should read! Thank everyone that responds or comments on your discussion. This will not increase your earnings.

Well i dont think so.. dear winterose.. we are paid even for commenting on our own threads.. and if it is against the guide lines we could not have been paid... I have had the experiences of earning though in cents, by commenting on my own topics.. the only thing is our total number of post counts doesnot increase.. And by the way, how is your article writing effort going on. Good luck to all your efforts. Take care.

Hello saiven, It isn't my nature to post numerous discussions in one day. When I joined mylot, I usually posted 2 discussions but it came to a point where I didn't know how to handle all the responses. So I limit myself to only 1 per day. I always commented to all the responders, leaving only the one with nonsensical response or the one postng with only 1 or 2 words. I see a lot of discussions without any comments and this kept me wondering why the poster bothered to post a discussion at all. I think its only proper that we should acknowledged all those who responded. =)

I know what you mean. There are a lot like that lurking around mylot. They must be having a grand day feasting on a "Thank you," "I agree with you." I sure hope mylot admin had deleted that person you're describing.

Charms..i agree with you.. i see some here, who respond mostly in oneliners, and this brings me one incident that i have reported to the admin here.. one of the comrade, who was subsequently banned, has responded nearly 700 topics in two days... You know what the person wrote, in all the 700 post that individual answered.. "Thank You, yes i agree"

Till this time both of the topics put together has received 23+21= 43 responses, and approximately around 30 comments i did yesterday. The earnings before i did these things were $3.69 and after this comments it is $4.07, an increase of 38 cents. I hope that i have explained you.. Well i want some clarification from you, as you respond that you only post two discussions and do 30comments... and you said that you earn 38cents... which is almighty great... My question is that, didn't you respond a single respond to other discussions... It will be greatful that you respond to one of my similar discussions, where most of the MYLOTTERS saying that they don't get paid for comments... Do Commenting will BOOST my EARNINGS???? http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/1433098.aspx Please do a response ASAP...

I am pretty much new here in myLOT. Well, to see how it works, I visited some users here and the discussions they have made and responded to, etc etc, I have seen that most of them responded to the person who responded to the discussion they made and sometimes add comments on it afterwards. I guess its kind of acknowledging the response, it is a good deed and etiquette. I'm just thinking if a point comes that when you read a response from a discussion you made and really you cant comment or say anything about it, is it just ok to say "thank you for response"?

I like to correct spelling errors and typos immediately, but I also wait about a hour to see if anyone else responds to my topic before I choose a best response.

Hi fj gamer, I think you understood wrongly. I am not talking about correcting our typos by adding extra comment to it, but rather " adding comment" to those we have received from others for the topic that we have started. And also, you choose BR within one hour of starting discussion. I feel that you are too fast in deciding it. Any how, practices differ. Thanks for taking time in reading my topic and responding. God bless you.

hi saiven! as much as possible i try to comment back on every responses in my discussions. however short their response is, i try to answer back even with just a simple thank you. some people find it rude that the thread host doesn't leave a comment to their responses. i don't want people to think i'm rude so i always comment back. i just hope that they have the patience because sometimes, i tend to be late on posting my comments. i also prefer that thread hosts would comment back on my responses to their discussions too.
