I love tropical beaches and I have camped on a tent on a beach in a national park in New Zealand. I have stayed in a fale, an open thatched building in Samoa. I stayed in a hut on a beach in Malaysia.
Have you ever stayed on a beach?
If so where was this?
What was your accommodation like?
If not which beach would go like stay on?
Thanks.

I actually live in an island and my house is just a couple of kilometers from the beach. But I will say that I have stayed on a beach when I and a group of young people went for an outreach in a very small island that you can go around for just 45 minutes walking on the beach. We stayed there for one week and we had fish and fish and fish every single meal. The best part was when there was a low tide. I saw so many beautiful corals and collected shells that were under the water. They were very smooth and shiny. The water in that island was salty of course but I can never forget that experience.

I am glad that you shared that wonderful experience of staying on the very small island. I love it when I can actually walk around the island that I stay on. It is so interesting to see a coral reef and look at pretty sea shells. It is lovely that you live on an island and that you live quite near the sea.

Which beach in Malaysia that you stayed on? I had stayed at the Pangkor Island and Lang Tengah island beach resorts many years back and just like you, I really love staying at the beach. The part that I enjoyed most is listening to the waves hitting the beach. We can never get that in the cities.

That sounds absolutely wonderful experience my friend! You make me so jealous with your fantastic adventures and where you have been, even more so with tales of New Zealand. I have never camped on a beach, I would love to on that beach featured in the film The Beach with Leonardo Di Caprio, being self-sufficient and working in a community, away from all the technology and relying on your own talents of making things, searching for food etc. I think it's Phuket? Sounds like pure fun!

We both have the spirit for traveling. I can imagine you going off island hopping in Thailand searching for a place to make a new community. Yes, it would be wonderful to make a house out of locally available materials and get fresh coconuts to eat every day. I have a copy of the film The Beach and have read the book because it is such a fantastic story.

My husband and I traveled to a beach in 2004. And we stayed on the beach for one night. We bought the tent and it was an interesting feeling. It was so windy at that night. I was a little afraid that the wind would blow away our tent. So at that night I hugged my husband and then fell asleep.

Dear Maximax,
I have stayed in beach in India were a place called Allappey in South India there we made a small tent that was way back during our school days we went for tour. We stayed whole night the wind was too strong late night our tend was blown away. Later we all slept under the dark sky counting the stars that was really an unforgettable experiences being and having a night at beach. It was like sharing nature fan and light the next day we were so tried we had a bath and continued our tour.

It must have been worrying when your tent blew away. However it turned out fine when you slept under the bright stars in the dark sky. Yes, that and your dinner by the sea are unforgettable experiences. Sharing nature can be so memorable and so thanks for sharing.

I also have stayed in a fale several times when we lived in Samoa - so beautiful and relaxing and the village people are very friendly. The fact that they supply the meals 3x a day and provide you with bedding and mosquito nets and stuff is cool. Just waking up to the sound of the sea and kids playing in the water, aah such a life. I miss it from time to time.

Wow! I would love to live in Samoa. When I was there I went to see the museum that used to be Robert Louis Stevenson home when he lived there. The fales are such a cool design and I loved being open to the sound of the waves and the feel of the fresh ocean breeze. It is a bargain to stay in one with three meals a day included. I am not surprised that you miss it sometimes. Namau Island is my idea of paradise. Wow!

Hello friend. I have only been to the seaside of a small town in Wenzhou City, but I did not see any beach there. The seawater I saw was brown, not the blue color I expected. I would be very happy to see a beach, but I think that the easier way for me to go to a beach is the island of Zhoushan, which is surrounded by the East China Sea, close to Zhejiang Province, as it is closer to me. Thanks. Take care.

Hello there my friend williamjisir. I hope that you will get to stay on a beach on the island of Zhoushan and that the South China Sea will look blue. It can be disappointing when sea water looks brown and might be pollution that has done this. Take care.

I haven't been to the glorious Philippines yet but would really like to. Palawan looks gorgeous in photos and Boracay looks really pretty. I love to go to tropical places and go island hopping and snorkeling to see the coral reef. People that live in the Philippines must have the choice of millions of stunning beaches to stay in so that is fantastic.

Yes, it is lovely to think back to the good old days. Seeing the bright stars must have been lovely before going out surfing the next day. Sometimes the most simple accommodation like a tent is close to nature and is quite special even though it has no luxuries.

It must have been fun to camp out of your parents trailer. I also appreciate seeing amazing sunsets and when I get up early enough to see beautiful sunrises. Rolling hills are pleasant to see. I would love to go to Peru to walk the Inca Trail up to the majestic looking Machu Picchu in the Andes. Thanks for your wonderful response.

I have never lived on the beach
I have lived right at the edge of beaches, in an apartment.
I just love to be able to walk out wearing only my swimsuit and be on the beach in ten steps.
I am not very fond of camping. But I would love to have a small cottage right by the beach. I hope to be able to get a small house like that on Crete.

I have been to a chalet near the beach. It is not the same as camping along the beach. I heard from a friend that it is really wonderful to camp at the seaside. Basking in moonlight and hearing the splash of the waves with a partner whispering sweet nothings, I feel is most romantic.

Yes, I have stayed at the beach for several nights. It was terrific. I also did put up at the resort by the beach. The seaview was fantastic and the natural sound of the breeze and wave were wonderful. I am looking forward for another trip to the beach.

i have been to beaches in different places. my mother was born in a small island. thus i go to beach every time i go back to see my mother's brothers.sometimes i just sit on the beach and look at the sea in silence. sometimes i run along the cost. the memory is full of joy.
i went to hongkong last summer before graduation from university. i vist Fleet Water Bay then, the beach there is so clear and cool that i couldn't help myself toushing it. i took off my shoes and walked in water along the beach. it was truely a enjoyment to walk in cool water with soft wind kissing your face, birds flying over your head and children runing here and there around you,and the sky is pretty pretty blue.
a nice trip which i'll never forget.
i'll revisit there some day.
