Do they help??? Do you keep one???
I have hit sort of a pleateu and I was told that if I start to keep a food diary I would see that there are things that I am still eating that I could cut out or cut down.
It just seems like I am constantly moving and I don't think that I can stop to write down everything I eat everytime I eat. And if I don't do it right then I might forget and leave something out.
I was just wonder if it was worth it to go through the trouble?

I dont keep a food diary. Its easy for me to remember since I only eat 2 times per day, lunch and dinner. Coffee drinker so never ate breakfast. I pretty much eat the same foods all time too so no, dont keep a food diary. I already know what my biggest problem is, starches. I love bread and potatoes, LOL, good luck

I love baked potatoes, almost anything potatoes. I can eat a whole bag of lays in one sitting. Not proud of that, but I can. You are welcome.

I admit it's a pain keeping one but I think if I really am serious about weight loss, it's a necessity. I am losing but its slower than it should be and wondering if my portions are still bigger than they should be.

I have a spiral notebook that I purchased on Ebay a while back .... has spots for a pic when I started my new lifestyle ... weight loss/gain, calories used, fat grams used that meal/day ... spot for the food I eat and how much as well as what type and how much exercise.
It DOES help ... making you write it down makes it more real :)

Good luck with your losing. Thanks for the response. I think portions are always the hardest to get the hang of.

I have always tried to keep one but can never stick to it. I remember all that I eat, I know what goes in my mouth that shouldnt.. so I really dont see the point of a food diary. But they work for others. Maybe its just me.

Well I guess you could say that it doesn't really help if you are going to eat whatever anyway. LOL thanks for the response.
