Are you a list maker?

I am. I'ma bit of a scatter brain so I find that making notes keeps me organised and prevents me from forgetting important things like what needs to be done that day. I'm always going to the shopping centre, which is a task in itself what with finding a park and battling the crowds, with a certain errand I need to run and quite often I do a million other things, get home and realise I haven't done the thing I initially went there for, such as banking or buying a gift. So there are always lists on my kitchen table and on the fridge! I'd be lost without them. Are you a list maker or do you tend to just go with the flow and rememeber everything?

Remember everything? That made me laugh out loud! I have a brain live a sieve and everything I really need to remember falls straight through! lol I used to make lists to try and help me be more organised but I always forgot where I left them! I struggle along now but I always write appointments and clip info onto my magnetic whiteboard in the kitchen - it is the only chance I have of remembering anything! xxx

Haha you made lists and forgot where you put them! That made me laugh. Maybe you should make lists and stick them to your front door telling you where your lists are!

I am difinitely a list maker. I have several lists laying around. I have lists for the store, things I need to do and get done, things I want to buy, projects we want to complete, my bill lists, and more. I am not a scatter brain but I like to stay organised and get alot done each month and make plans for things. I always have so much going on, it is easier for me to make a list of them.

I keep a journal for jotting down stuff - such as phone calls - resolutions - business transactions - bills paid etc. or I will not be able to keep track of it all.

I am always making list of the different things I want to accomplish for the day. I love marking it off but sometimes. I do without cause the list of chores I make for myself would sometimes take an army to get done LOL

I have a good long term memory but hopeless with my short term memory, you ask me what I did Friday and I can't remember a damn thing, ask me what I was doing ten years ago and I could tell you that's why I have to keep lists of jobs that need to be done, I keep it on my desk so it's not out of sight out of mind, and when I've done a job I can tick it off, so I can go to bed relaxed that everything that needed to be done has been done, otherwise I'd forget and bills would go unpaid and jobs forgotten.

there are only a few who do what you do and most people do not realize that it is important to list down almost everything that you do and what you have to do to remind you of so many different things and in that way that means that you are a very organized and productive person. i salute you. nowadays , with a lot of things on our mind , we cannot rely on our memory because we will forget it . this is the best way not to forget things.

I tend to fly by the seat of my pants as my MIL would say, but she plans her life to the second for the next 20 years. lol. I make a list to go to the grocery store if there is a lot we need, or we are budgeting so taht we dont get anything extra.

Yes i do make lists because i forget if i don't.I even make grocery lists because if i don't i will forget something...I have went to the store before to get a certain item, this is before i made lists, anyway i ended up getting a lot of things only to realize when i got home the thing that i went after i forgot...So now i do make a list,it helps me not to forget. If i have a lot of errands to run i will write each of them down as well...my list goes something like this....Get gas, mail letter,go by so & so,and go pay truck payment..etc etc...:Lol

I love making lists. It's a superb way of focusing the brain on the day or task ahead, gets you in right frame of mind for the activity, and gives you an immense sense of satisfaction when you are able to cross something off. I normally have several lists running at one time. I keep one on the back of the kitchen door which is to remind me of shopping I need to do and errands I need to run, one for things to do today which might just contain mundane stuff like remembering to write a birthday card, make a cake or do the dishes, and one for long term stuff which is normally very long. The long term one works well for us because when we have a spare hour we can refer to it and there is always something that we can fill that hour with which will help towards our long term goals. We're never at a loss for something to do! So yes, I'm definately a list maker :-)

Most of the time, i do make a list.. especially when buying groceries, gifts, and chores to do. I do this and its very helpful especially when you have many things in mind. The tendency is you miss something if you had not make a list. I also liked to jot down birthday reminders on my planner so that i would not forget greeting my friends and loved ones on their birthday.

If I have a lot to do, or have to get certain things done, I need a list. And I LOVE to mark things off of said list!!

absolutely... i am myself a scatter brain and somehow feel relieved when i have listed the things to do ..cause that makes me sure i would do the same at some time or other as i prioritize after making the list. Gives me immense pleasure to stike off the things done from the list and use my brain for some other work ...

Hi coffeeshot, I am a list maker. It is not because I forget things but it is because of habit which my father taught me saying that we humanbeings tend to have always a pre-occupied mind and it is natural that we forget certain things to be done on the day. So,listing things is best habit and I have gained many things because of that. Very Imprortantly I have to tell you one thing, that listing helped me in my professional achievements. I have to purticularly thank you because your discussion made me to think of my father today. Good Luck.
