I just did a test and my speed was 8933 kbps and 7816 kbits downloaded in 0.875 seconds on zdnet.co.uk/speedtest. A second test on a different site did 12.6 mbps download speed and 739 kbps upload speed. test was done at 2 in the afternnon. I aint a comp geek so dont know if these figures are any good ???

It depends from which server you did the test, I did a test on a server 200 miles away from me it gave me a certain result, from a server 800 miles away it gave about 1/3 of the previous test I did.

beh depends if it is in upload or in download..normally dsl connection are good for personal use..they are fast and also depends which one you connected usually!!your connection i think is in upload so it is standard may be now there are dsl much faster but also depends where you live and so if in your area is possible to reach a faster connection too and so the provider and so on..
the faster now is the optic fibra..but not in all areas esepcially in italy is possible to reach it so to have a connection like that..for example in my area where i live there is not this possibility

Unfortunately, in my area I haven't much choice, I believe should be adapted the lines of small city as mine
