Yes, I do that. It is easier to do that than keying the number to be called. Whats the use of the phone book if you wont use it.

Address book = easy way out.

The thing is, I seldom know numbers anymore.
Whatever numbers I had memorized long ago, they seem to have been hidden so deep in the recesses of my memories that I would not even be able to recall them in an emergency.
I am too reliant on the phone contact list now.
Every time I need a number, I will search by name.

The adress book is too useful and convenience and it make me seldom remember any number.
Thus, if i know the number,i'll dial directly.
