We're finally going to Chuck E Cheese tonight for our son's 5th birthday! We'll have 5 of the 8 kids with us so it should be fun. The only ones not going are s/o's daughter because she lives 3 hours away with her mom and my 9 year old son and 7 year old daughter because they are at their dad's and I can't get a hold of them.
I don't like the pizza there but it will still be fun with all the playing and games. It's been so long since we've gone.
Any memorable Chuck E Cheese experiences?

I used to love those pizza/party places when I was a kid (and even a little older) :)
I had a birthday party at Showbiz which was similar to Chuck E but I thought was better. They had a big gorilla instead of a mouse but had the same type of games, prizes, pizza, and animatronic singers. Their pizza was much better than Chuck E Cheese. Chuck E Cheese pizza is pretty nasty and expensive but it's a lot of fun for a birthday. I also like the Magic Mountain/Putt Putt miniature golf & game places for kids' parties.

I always thought it was way too expensive for the quality too but I'm going to look online for coupons. usually they offer pizza/token deals that help with the cost a little bit. I wish we had more fun options around here for little kids.

I wouldn't say my memory is the good, but I took my little cousins to Chuck E Cheese, ages 4, 5, 6, 7. Yes, four of them, all 1 year apart. Anyways, what had happened was one of my cousins slipped and fell playing the there jungle gym of tubes and ball pits, he busted his head open and required about 6 stitches.
Not a good memory, but i have plenty other memories where we had a lot of fun. This is just one memory that stands out.

OH NO! I don't think I needed to hear that! We'll have all boys with us ages 17, 5, almost 3 and 16 months except for the one 12 year old girl. We've avoided stitches so far but I'm sure the day will come!
The only thing about Chuck E Cheese that really bothers me is the amount of people and how easily it is to lose sight of the kids once they climb up into the play thing. It's kind of scary if you think too much.

We just went to chuck e cheese 2 weeks ago. it was fun. we did my daughters 3rd birthday party there. it was so much easier then doing a party at home. they have this ride at ours that adults can ride too. its a roller coaster similator thing. it was embarrassing for me though lol. because i have a big chest, and you lay back and the handles are down low to the sides. so as i'm riding the thing and bouncing along the roller coaster ride, well, lets just say other things were bouncing as well. lol

Oh wow, I haven't been there for a party since my 21 y/o was about 3 or 4 years old..But I was there recently, about 4-5 months ago, a friend and I were out shopping, she had her teenage daughter and my 5 y/o son was with us..No one was there because it was a weekday and my son really got into the games and food..
Here is where it got Really funny, my son got so involved in this game that he didn't see the Chuck E. Cheese Mouse behind him, he jumped back so fast I thought he was going to cry, but instead he just came over to me..So if we ever have a party there, I will have to warn him that the Mouse may come over to wish him a Happy Birthday..

Have a good time at Chuck E Cheese tonight. I have only ever been there once with my son a few years ago. We did not even order pizza. I took him in there and let him play the games for about an hour. I was told that the pizza was not that good, so I was not going to waste money on it.

Well I was pleasantly surprised! They must have changed their sauce recipe because it was actually really good! The crust wasn't flat like it used to be either.

Well, I have been to Chuck E. Cheeses several times. All the kids love it. I remember before I had kids, me and a bunch of friends (we were all between the ages of 19 and 21), we went to Chuck E. Cheeses and my friend went and hugged the mouse. Imagine an adult there on her own hugging the mouse! We had a good laugh about that!

We actually liked the pizza at our Chuck E Cheese. We would go every few months with the coupons. My memories are of constantly keeping the kids within eyesight - even with those safety precautions they have, I was a hyper-vigilant mom. I also remember having a kid stuck way up in the maze and knowing my fat butt wasn't going to be able to get up there. Had to get a crew member for help. I remember it all being fun regardless.

We tried to take my son to chuck-e-cheese a couple months ago, and it was soooo crowded!! We were goign to get a pizza, let him see the singers, and play a few games. We waited in line forever, and it was so crazy in there that we decided to just go somewhere else. I can't remember what we ended up donig for dinner that night, but I remember we were really mad because we wanted to go play some games! LOL

Oh yes! I visit with my grandson twice a month and I always take him to Chuck E Cheese. He always has a great time. Believe it or not, we get the salad bar and share. He will be 3 this Sunday and he loves the salad bar. Also, I love Chuck E Cheese because there are TWO photo opportunites there for only one quarter each. One is where the kid is riding in a car with Chuck E Cheese and his picture is taken and the other is where you can actually sit on a bench with the kid and get your picture taken together. After the picture is taken, you get to watch the picture being sketched by the hand of Chuck E Cheese. He talks all the way through the drawing and then your sketch is printed out. My grandson loved it! We had three sketches done. One of them sits in my dining room in a nice frame and every time someone new comes over they ask where I got the great sketch. I tell them to look closely at the signature. They laugh and ask how much I actually paid. When I tell them one quarter they are amazed at the quality for such a low price.
