We often run out of ideas for dinner and are currently cooking healthy meals, for the most part. What do you often make for dinner? Do you have a favorite meal that you love to cook? Do you plan out your meals ahead of time or tend to "wing it"? Tonights dinner consists of left overs from last night, jambalaya with brown rice. Tomorrow is pork cutlets, veggies and pasta with italian seasonings. So whats on your plate for dinner?

Tonight we are having sloppy joes and fries. My daughter is cooking as I work third shift tonight and I will be trying to rest for that. She can't cook a lot but she does try hard. Plus we need to use leftover hamburger up.

We pretty much wing it day by day. Tonight will be boneless pork chops, rice and stir fried bean sprouts. I have the pork marinading in a mixture of soy sauce, ginger, sesame oil, garlic and honey. I'll cook them under the broiler. I have no clue what we'll do tomorrow night. However I do have a whole chicken in the freezer so I'll probably roast that. It's really good if you roast a whole chicken with a lemon cut in half and a couple cloves of garlic stuck inside. Roast at high temp (425) for about 45 - 60 minutes. The outside will get nice and crispy but the lemon keeps the meat nice and juicy.

Wow the chicken sounds really good, I will have to try that. I love making my own marinades as well. What a good idea.

I rarely plan ahead. I make a lot of old "stand bys". I like to make pasta, veggie casseroles, chili or veggie stews, stir fry, veggie "fricassee" or pot pie, and beans and rice. With lots of those, I'll have a side salad and bread or cornbread.

That sounds fabulous. I like to plan ahead to so I dont have to worry about eating "bad stuff". I've been wanting chicken wings for a while too! Thanks for the idea.

This evening I was lucky as we have guest who cooked for us. We had beef & turket kebabs cooked outside on the grill & served with fried potatoes and salad. I'm not big on planning in advnace, although as I don't have a freezer I have to plan ahead if we want to eat something specific. In my case, I look in the cupboard & see what grabs my fancy. If I'm totally lacking in inspiration I either suggest my parter cooks, or do tuna pasta which everyone enjoys. Unfortunately I can't cook it every night otherwise I would!!

Well, to tell you the truth, I have no idea! My mom usually does most of the cooking as I'm living home with my parents again. I could really go for some chicken cutlets, homemade mashed potatoes and corn with chicken gravy though! We haven't had that in quite awhile, and I think it's about time we did.

i love to cook dinner for my family. i usually have different types/kinds of menu. The other day, i cooked 'gambas', a shrimp in spicy tomato sauce. then the next day after, i cooked veggies in oyster sauce. s0 nutricious and delicious. i actually try anything or even experiment with different ingredients to find a perfect meal.Ü
