Easter baking - I'm looking for ideas please

I'm trying to think of some Easter related baking ideas, but I'm not coming up with many so I thought I'd ask for help here. It could be a cake or biscuits, but I'm not terribly good at fancy decorations. In fact, I'm fairly new to baking full stop, but I'm trying to improve to I'm willing to have a go. These cakes or biscuits are to go to my neighbours. I normally give them either marmalade cake or banana cake, but I thought something Easter themed would make a nice change. What do you suggest?

We used to just bake cupcakes then dye coconut and put on top to look like grass then we would lay jelly beans on top of that to look like easter eggs....so it's very easy and cute!

You guys come up with so many good ideas! I don't think i'll use the coconut for Easter as my kids don't particularly like it, but it's good to know you can dye it. i'll store that bit of knowledge away for the future!

I made Easter nests with my kids today, a very nice twist on krispie cakes!! I broke up a whole load of Shreddies cereal and added melted chocolate, once I put some of the mixture into paper cases I decorated with a few chocolate eggs YUMMY!! you could also try hot cross bun and butter pudding, using hot cross buns spread with ginger jam intead of bread.

I LOVE the hot cross bun & butter pudding idea. My family love bread & butter pudding so that would go down a storm. I'm not sure my neighbours would be so keen, but I hadn't thought of getting the kids involved so the first idea might be worth a try. Thanks so much for the ideas!

You could do cut out cookies in the shape of eggs and decorate them with decorative cookie sprinkles etc. I think I saw a cute kit like that at Walmart.

My cookies always change shape in the oven LoL. they normally spread!! I could maybe do round ones though & get the kids to draw egg shapes on top with those icing pens. Very personal! Thanks :-)
