I know mathematics is a tough subject. But a student who does not have interest in this subject is seen more difficult. Normally ,I do not accept that anything is difficult. If anybody has some interest in that subject then ,that interest make him easy ways to solve or understand everything so that he can command on that subject.
In my experiences to create the interest on a particular subject, one has to make basic knowledge strong.Once you go through and be perfect in the basics, then slowly each and every step will be seen easy . In the same way his interest about the subject will increase day by day

When I was in the primary school level, I liked Mathematics very much as it was just a matter of added (+), subtract (-) and multiply. Besides, the teacher seem to be devoted in teaching us. Later when I enter Secondary level, most of us dislike our Mathematics teacher because she herself was not sure of tackling some of the Mathematics problems and this make me weak in Mathematics. As I entered university, our lecturer was a funny guy that could turned Mathematics problems into a joke and made it so simple to solve Mathematis problems. Now I am beginning to like Mathematics and all it require is practice.

well, i did not like maths especially when i was young. i just couldn't seem to get it at all. at that time, i had no elder siblings to help me out and all. of course, i went tuition to improve but i didn't seem to improve i felt as i didn't like the subject at all.
now i'm a tutor here. i teach some kids and rather than maths, most of them find english tough. and it's only many years later that i actually appreciate and like maths. i have learnt so many things that i could have learnt if i liked the subject and tried to improve in the areas.
i do not have any easy ways to make it interesting and all. oh, there are many books on creative mathematics and all, and maybe using the surroundings around you to help you figure it out and all, but for me, the most important thing is, like the subject so that you want to improve in it.
for me, how i started liking the subject was doing the sums that i knew how to do and could get it right. that got my morale up. it made me more confident, i thought that maybe, just maybe, if i try the harder questions, i might be able to make it.
of course, it didn't always go as planned and i always had mistakes and that got me down. when that happened, i did the simple questions again. (to boost my morale hehe)
i also looked at some similar examples and situations given to help myself.
doing this as time passed, i noticed that i was able to do the questions that i initially couldn't do a few months back. of course, this takes time and patience and it would definitely help if you had someone helping you. but always be patient and they always say, practise makes perfect.
so start with the simple sums first. then attempt the tougher ones but still don't lose hope if you can't do it. look at the answer sheets with workings to find out why you got it wrong, until where did you manage to get the question and all. you will slowly but surely improve yourself.
sorry can't help much but at least, hope this little will do something for you. good luck.

I have always loved maths, well it all depends on the teacher. If youve got a realy horrible teacher the studant wont get anywhere!
Maths also isn't at all difficult all you haveto do is understand it and you know what to do! No studieng involved.
Thats why I say that the best teachers are the ones that know how to do maths, and like maths alot. Explain maths in a really easy way, use something funny to explain it.
It also depends on who your teaching, anyone younger then 9 10 is a bit more difficult to teach I guess..
Hope this helped, best of luck

Why would it be out of bound? I find it easy enough--at least at the lower levels. If you are talking about calculus, then I would agree, but basic math should be easy enough for anyone to do. What kind of math are you studying? Is there a way you can put what you are doing into words? I always had difficulty with word problems when I was in school, but now I prefer them because it lets you USE math in a real world situation. That is very common in America, but I get the impression from students I have talked to that it is not common in China.

anyone can learn math. not everybody loves math. love for math is an inborn talent and a developed skill.
math is a tool. science for example, uses math as its language, that is why everyone should learn math. to make math interesting, the teacher must show the uses of math in everyday life. it may help motivate the student to learn math.
