what's real friend?

A real friend is most importantly someone who will always be there for you and never judge you. Someone you can share happy times with. It is also someone you can trust and can count on.

A real friend share your sadness and happyness in his heart, not just in appearance.

Hi there jiangweichao! I think that a real friend is someone who is honest to you. a friend is someone who tells you the truth even though he or she knows that it will hurt. A friend can criticize without offending. A friend is someone you can trust. I have received a text message, funny, but true. It says that a true friend is someone who you call on the phone at four o'clock in the morning when you murdered someone and shows up with a shovel, no questions asked.

My definitions which i (through experience)strongly believe are: A friend is, as it were, a 2nd you! Someone who loves me for myeself and not my circumstances. NO matter how many times I am warned about something, if I fall, my friend is there to pick me up, dust me off and walk beside me once again. A true friend is one who walks in when the rest of the world walks out! Don't walk in front of me, I may not follow dont walk behind me, I may not lead just walk beside me, and just be my friend. The best ornaments to have in a home are true friends. They dust themselves off too! and my favourite! true friendship comes when silence between 2 people is comfortable! That friend..is what happens with 2 of my lifelong friendships I have..we can sit in each others company doing our own thing (e.g. one watching tv and the other on the pc) and not say a word to each other for a good hour! And..this may sound very weird to people but with these two friends..the 3 of us can - without any feelings of guilt or hurt - say "ok i'm going home now i am sick of your face" lol...its true I promise!

I want to share also when I could say to myself I am being a real friend to someone. A dear friend of mine got pregnant merely after a year we graduated from college. She was so lost at that time that she decided to get rid of the lil creature growing inside her womb. She asked me to help her in a way that she will stay in my place and be there for me when she will do such act. I was so confused whether I shall let her do it when in fact I know its not a Christian act. I was raised by my parents as a God fearing individual and instilled in me the right and wrong of life. But when you're facing the very core of the issue, you will be lost and all would be blurry. The night before she will do it, I barely slept. I woke up so early and decided to call her mother. I knew at that time, she's the best person I should talk with. Looking at the boy right now, in my heart I know I did the right thing.
