Definitely I would go for the pool. I don't like those outdoor hot tubs and the pool would keep the kids busy at least for a while!

For me probably swimming pool. There are great exercises you can do i the pool for toning up the bod.Plus it would be easier to teach my daughter to swim. Ope swim at our community center is an hour before her bed time. That doesn't always work.

I think right now I would go with the pool. I have 5 children and they all love the water. A few of them don't know how to swim yet, but we will continue working on that this year. I live in a small town that has a pool but it's not big enough for my taste. The other 2 towns around us no longer have pools due to all the flooding. I'm glad my mom has a pool in her back yard. That's where we all get together and go swimming.
I would also love the hot tub to soak in. It would probably help alleviate some of the lower back pain I have.

I would love to have a hot tub. I'm getting older and wake up everyday with a new ache or pain. That would be so nice.

If I didn't have one I would go for the hot tub. I am 25 with a severe lower back injury and the hot tub relaxes the muscles for me to function. But then on the other hand the pool would also be quite beneficial for me as for the aquasizing and toning the muscles is a great one for back injuries as it's alot easier to work out in a pool than actually working out. I'm pretty torn on this one. Can I just take both?

I would go for the hot tub. My kids would disagree and would want the swimming pool. We'd end up getting the hot tub though, cause we live by a clean and clear creek and if they want to swim we can just go over there.

I would like a pool and a Finnish Sauna. Yes, I was born in Finland..!:) That would take away a lot of aces and pains. Together with the food supplements I am taking, it would get me twenty years younger...
All this would make me sooo relaxed and I would probably sleep well

hi winterose!
i think i would go for the swimming pool! i don't like swimming in the beach and i prefer to take a dip in a swimming pool since a swimming pool is not too big like the ocean but not too small either. a hot tub is much smaller and i wouldn't be able to do much in it.
and then, more people can take a dip in a swimming pool at the same time unlike in a hot tub where it is much more for personal use. i would like to go swimming together with friends or my relatives especially my nieces and nephews with whom i can be a kid again playing in a swimming pool.
but then, we don't really have a huge backyard where i can put a swimming pool and our bathroom is not that big to put a hot tub. ^__^;;

Both would be nice but since you say to choose I would say a swimming pool. I don't know how to swim myself but last summer while my grandson was here visiting we took him for swimming lessons and this would be ideal for when he comes back each summer. He might could even teach me to swim maybe? LOL

I would have to say (if I had to choose one) it would be a swimming pool. I have always loved to swim. I especially like swimming laps. That would be my ideal exercise. I was on the swim team in high school(until my grades started slipping). I mean don't get me wrong, I would love to have both,but you said to chose one.

I would go for the swimming pool. It gets very hot here in Indiana in the summer time. I also like to sunbathe and being in the pool helps to achieve that. I love to swim. A hot tub would be nice to have in the winter when cannot use the swimming pool though. It would be very nice and warm when it is cold out.

It depends on how much they are. In the future, when I do not want the one I choose, I can sell it, and get the other one:) right?
