I actually like both. They each have aspects that are good and bad to me. But the truth is that it doesn't matter how much I like the country, I have always lived in the city and am so used to that way of life. It would be very difficult for me to change. The country in good for visiting though.

countryside!!! i love nature. and as youve said it's a peaceful environment. fun and leisure in the city is tiresome and unhealthy. clubbing and shopping is something i dont like doing regularly.

I think city and countryside have got their respective pros and cons. City life is always eventful. i myself stay in countryside. the atmosphere may be pollution free and more green, there are many disadvantages also. Main is daily commutation to work. Companies are mainly at City. it is very hectic for me.

I lkive in NYC and I prefer the city to live. The country is too woody and aggravates my allergies. What I really love is the beach! I just calm down with the salt air and the sounds of the ocean!

This is hard for me to say,in the country you can take walks in the woods and fields. You can let your dog run free on your land.I had horses,I liked it when I lived there. Then you got the city, here everything is within walking distance. I have cable. It has it's advantages,I like it in the city.It would be nice to have a home in both places.

As for me I prefer countrysides to cities. As you said that countrysides are so quiet, peace and also have more fresh air.You can find that you are close to the nature. That's something last for ever. But meanwhile, there are more chances and opporturnites in cities.By todays there are more and more people move to cities to seek furtune, the air pollution, unemployment are also increased.

i do agree tht city life is generally more exciting, and it lso comes with all the convenience of technology and amenities, but i think it all depends on what one is looking for. some people are after a more laid back lfiestyle and a relaxed pace of living, so for these people, the countryside is preferred.

I have lived in both. I spent eighteen and a half years in Brighton, but out of the centre, in a more countrified area. There was easy access to all the amenities of the city centre, shows, nightclubs, etc. But, when all's said and done, I prefer the village in which I live now. I love to walk out into the countryside... there's plenty of walks around here. I like to be at one with Nature, to hear the birds singing, and the sheep bleating, to see and smell the colours of the trees and flowers, and to sit by the millponds watching the world go by. Yup... I prefer the countryside. Brightest Blessings.

Yes, there's always somewhere different to go and new things to see. Indeed, the countryside changes with the seasons. You're quite welcome, my friend. Thank you for an interesting discussion.

I really like the city. To be honest the country side really scares me. This past summer I was in North Carolina with my work because we were opening a new office in a very rural town. This place was so quiet, my hotel room was right on a major highway, and through out the entire night maybe one car would pass by. I stayed there for about 3 months getting this office open. My job actually offered to move me there at my same pay that I am making here in the city. Everything was so much cheeper it would have been like getting a $8,000 raise, but i could not get myself to move out there. It was too quiet. I am 23 and I think that I need the excitement of the city. I do regret not moving there sometimes because the people in the country are so nice and laid back, but i think that I am and will probably always be a city person.

Hello dear dqh. I think that I am fond of both and I can get used to country life though I do not live in the country. I love the noisy and colorful life in the city and also the quiet and peaceful life in the country, which offers me fresh air as always while we cannot enjoy that much fresh air as much as that in the country. Besides, people in the country are more friendly and simple to each other. I love them very much for this. Thanks.

Hi dinhquanghuy, I like both the city and countryside, there is so much to do and see in the city. I think however that I would rather live in the country, because of the peacefulness. Blessings.

I am born in the city and grow up in the city, so till now I have no experince about how life in the countryside. And I think as my major is chemical enginerring, there is few chance for me to lead my life in the suburb. For i can only find a job in the city. To many people in my country, living in the countryside means lead a poor life, for there is few jobs there, while farming is not a way to make people lead a standard life. But maybe after I retire, I will choose to live in the suburb, so that I can plant some vegetalbes for myself and live in quite and peace. Abusolutely, there will not be many relaxing programs there.

Well I'm kind of torn. Pretty much all my life growing up I've lived in fairly small towns in the countryside. Growing up I hated it becuase there was nothing to do and I thought it was boring. I'm now at University in a city and I do love the fact there is always something happening and there's always parties and clubs to go to. I find it hard to come back to the quiet of the smaller town but I appreciate the beauty of nature a lot more when I return!

I prefer to live in the city, because I do not have a vehicle, nor will I ever be able to drive one. I like having everything right there, and a bus so that I can travel to any part of the city, whenever I need to. I like the activity in the city.

An organized city has about all of the facilities which a person or his family need. Such as electricity, telephone, water supply, sanitation etc. while a countryside has not such facilities. It is no doubt that countryside is calm and quite. But that is a tough enough to live alone. We are social animals. We can not live alone. We help each other. And this is not possible under the green wood tree. People from countryside rush to cities and try their best to settle their because of available resources of basic requirements of human being and better life. Therefore I would like to prefer the city life or life in a city.

I like the country for the most part. I think that it's because it is so much quieter and usually you don't have to worry about it being really busy. At the same time though, I like that there are a lot of places (like grocery stores and things like that)in the city. I live in a small town right outside of the capital of our state and so I kind of have the best of both worlds.

I gew up in the country, and it will always be my preference. However, I do love to travel and see cities. I can't wait to move back to the country. The smell of dew on the grass.
