My friends and I have a special prayer time. We pray all at the same time everyday (it's 9am to me and it depends on what time it is there that coincide with that time because we all live in different places around the globe). My prayers will all be for them, while their prayers will all be for me. We tell each other's prayer intentions and we pray for them. We call ourselves prayer warriors. With faith in our hearts, we found out that our prayers are answered. I am not really religious. But I do pray. I pray for my family and my friends. I even pray for other people whom I don't really know. Do you pray for other people as well instead of praying for yourself?

Yes I do and I ask other people to pray for me too especially when I am going through a hard time. I am a firm believer in prayer. I think what you're doing is great. We have tried to get a prayer chain going at our church a few times but it always falls away.

Asking prayer from other people is also a good sign of faith. It only shows that you believe in the power of prayers. God BLess.

Yes I pray for other people too. I pray three times a day usually and I make sure that in at least two of the prayer sessions I say a few prayers for others. I do not consider myself religious either. I am a Baha'i, which means I accept all religions as from God and strive to follow all of their teachings. I do not consider the Baha'i Faith a religion but rather a way of life. "To be a Baha'i simply means to love humanity." - Baha'i writings Baha'is are encouraged to pray for others because we believe the prayers you say for others are stronger and purer than the prayers you say for yourself. I do pray for myself too though, usually for guidance. If you do not take care of yourself you cannot help anyone else.

If you want more info on the faith you can visit www.bahai.org or feel free to ask me any questions. The faith mainly focuses on loving God and humanity. Unity between races, countries and families are also a big component. Thank you for the discussion by the way, good question.

This the first time I hear about that faith... Baha'i. It sounds very interesting. People of different faith have only one aim... to be good and to do good things to other and to love.

Praying for others is part of my daily habit. If it's not for physical healing for someone it is for emotional healing etc. I ask that the animal kingdom the flora and fauna are take care of as well as our planet. I ask that my loved ones, people against me for some reason, our family pets and I be placed in white light so that nothing bad comes to us or goes from us. If I see a situation that concerns an animal or human that needs help and that I am not able to help I ask that they be placed in white light and that whatever is causing them distress is stopped. When someone is gravely ill..along with friends we form a prayer chain for healing for that person.

I have a very good friend from church that calls me once a week to pray for what ever we feel the need for and we pray for others that we become aware of needing prayer together. She has young boys that keep her very busy. We also have a prayer chain for any one needing immediate prayers. We usually spend an hour or more on the phone not all in prayer but letting each other know who and what needs prayers.

Having a friend who not only understand your faith but pray with you as well, is already a blessing. I know you are already thankful for that. God Bless.

prayer is something that i teach my kids now while they are still young. and iwant them to learn to pray not only for themselves but also for others. when i was young, i was taught the difference between spontaneous praying and the existing prayers. i find that spontaneous praying is for me. i like to talk to god directly and say exactly what i feel instead of mouthing words from a structured prayer. when i pray, i first thank god for what he's given me, whether good or bad. then ask for forgiveness for whatever i did wrong. then ask for my needs and wants -- which includes praying for my family and other people i know who are in need.

I learn to pray when I was young too. You are doing the right thing. My mom bought me a lot of prayer books when I can already read and I practice reading by praying.

I pray for others every day. There is one group of ladies on an email list that I've been friends with for several years. We always post prayer requests and pray for each other. I pray for my family and friends specifically, and groups of people in general (our military, politicians, internet friends, etc).

Congratulations! I just noticed you got a 10 in your star. I do pray for other people. I think that's the only way I can help them. I am not gainfully employed this days so I cannot lend them my pockets. I ask the Lord to grant them their petitions and give them guidance and wisdom to make right decisions for their lives. I ask Him to give them strength to carry all the burdens they have now. I pray for them so that they will emerge victorious after every storm in their lives. I don't think I pray really well because I don't use too many elaborate words when I pray. I just keep silent for a while, close my eyes and say my petitions for my friends, family and other people. I think it's effective that you pray more for other people because the blessing bounces back to you to.

Yes I do. I have joined a site called Beliefnet.com quite awhile ago and I pray for people there. By the way I need a lot of prayer right now. I am upset that I did not get a payment I was counting on and I am in danger of having some of my sites shut down. I really needed that money I didn't get. Please pray for me regarding this, because I won't be able to have an income without certain sites up.

Very often as I do my everyday routine I have a word with him upstairs! Often if people I know and lovve are going through a trying time! It sometimes just helps to quietly offload. I think a lot more people than care to admit do it!!

I pray for others when I hear they are in trouble or need prayer. Many times I pray for someone when it even feels like they would need someone to pray for them.

Yes, I do pray for other people :) Right now I constantly pray for my brother's sister in law, who's been sick since November without confirmation of what disease or illness she's now afflicted with. Maybe some of the people here can help pray for her too :) She's now very weak and very much different from the very bubbly person I use to know. :(

Yes I do pray for other people. My mother was very ill for a few years, And I've been praying everyday in the hope that she gets better. And it did work. The doctors found thr reason why shes sick after 2 years of research. She had some kind of a bacterial infection which attacked her body inside. From that day I've been praying for everybody. I never want to forget the feeling when my mother came home again.. It felt like God had listened to my voice and had cured my mother. That's why im so gratefull and therefore I'll pray for all the people who need help..
