We are so short staffed at work right now that overtime is unavoidable. I have been working 9 days so far and have another 3 at least before I may get a day off. The money from overtime is nice but before you know it you forget what family looks like and your co-workers become your life. I get frustrated but what can you do but keep plugging along and wait for the day you are your own boss.

mate.. i think if you are short staffed then you should consider hiring more people.. ploughing your employees only frustrates them and at the end the quality of work is not good..
I am a supervisor at work.. at the moment... a few staff have quit work and there is position vacant.. because of this reason we get called in during our day offs and have to work extra hard.. so we can fill up other people's hours.. not to forget that we've worked really hard the previous day.. Little frustrating events built up and end up in good employees quitting.. New staff require training and that cost valuable resources..
A bad work place invironment kills the living interest out of you..
I hope some day i become my own boss.. and become a better manager..

yes i have been working too much lately, even going on double shifts and all.. i dont know if that is the reason, but most say it is that is why i looked so stressed and have high blood right now. i dont even know if this is all worth it!
i am only me and when i die of working, my company would only send me flowers! hehe i guess its not worth it.

working over time is an option and should be treated as option not as compulsion..
Mate.. you look totally stressed out because of too much pressure from work.. maybe you should consider takin holiday and try and say no to overtime.. One of my fren at work told me that he hates workin over time.. but i always see him workin .. so i asked him why he comes to work even if he doens' want to work.. He told me that he cannot say no the managers when they ask him to come to work.. I told him.. mate.. sometimes u need to know how to say no..
Personally i work overtime but only if i feel like it..
