Lol Bronie, you really do make me laugh. I think you call this irony. You spelled miss spell wrong. Lol. It is actually [b]misspelling[/i] all as one word. In fact, I don't even know if you would class this as a misspelling but you know what I mean. It made me laugh.
I am just as bad, I may be a good speller but I spell everything the UK way and although I know it is prodominately Americans that read my postings on here I totally refuse to spell things your way as I think they are ridiculous.
Anyway, yeah,, cook programmes. I think cook programmes are good but more often than not I only catch the last half of them so I just see them plating everything up and eating. I never do find out all the tips on how they made it.

There are heaps of words that British spell differently from Americans. I really notice it cos normally the Americans have less letters and when I look at them I just think it looks messed up.
Colour is obviously one, and I think favourite is one. There are loads!
I hope that myLot doesn't secretly pay us on spelling cos I know that they frown upon excess punctuation and stuff like that. I hope they don't regard good American spelling as going towards a quality discussion.

Hey I got you a link about spelling. Basically if we say -our at the end of a word you only do -or.
Oh, and if we do -re, then you do -er. As in theatre, centre, metre.
We say defence, you say defense. We say offence, you say offense.
Man, there is loads of stuff. How could you not possibly notice? But I suppose it is not often you see British spellings whereas we see American spelling quite alot.

Why would you think that you might be an idiot for watching cooking shows? You like to cook, obviously, and you like to learn new ways of doing so, so what's idiotic about that? No... you're brushing up your cooking skills, so no way are you an idiot!
Brightest Blessings.

Hi I have never heard of Rachael Ray but I enjoy watching cooking shows, they always make me hungry, but I am never adventurous enough to try the recipes except for the ones on Big Cook Little Cook which is a childrens programme and encourages them to eat healthily so I watch that with my young son. It does give some great ides, in fact they all do. Elllie :D

No, you're not. Everyone's different and has different interests. You just want to improve your skills, and for that more power to you! You want to improve and that's good. You'd be an idiot if you were watching the weather channel and wondering "Isn't Racheal Ray supposed to be on next? Why are they still giving me the weather?"

I don't claim to make any judgment about your idiocy based on watching cooking shows, but there is one thing I just have to say:
Rachael Ray has one of the most annoying voices I have ever heard. If she sounded differently I might watch her show; instead I avoid it.

That's crazy! Why would you be an idiot for watching cooking shows? I live by the food network. My t.v. is always on it, whether I'm watching Rachael, Paula (that's my girl!), Giada, or even, Alton, I love it. In fact, Rachael made this french toast with corn flakes for a brunch-- it was the first thing I ever tried to make from t.v. It's also a great way to bond. My bf and I watch together and choose meals to make. We've yet to make something we didn't like. Tomorrow night we're making chicken georgia. Paula made it a few days ago...looked delicious. Can't wait to try it.

no your not an idiot, if it is something you enjoy and something you can learn from all the better. Thats like saying your feelings are wrong, they cant be wrong because they are feelings. If you are learning from it, it is making you smarter, anything that makes us smarter enhances the mind , therefore it is good :)
