hoe often do you move your mouse to the star

Hi sophianlin, To be honest with you, I've never done that before but I'm surely going to start now! I didn't realize if you pointed your mouse to the star you could see a score out of 100. I'm probably going to do this everytime I see my star.

I don't seem to be having good reputation here, I don't know why. All this time I have been answering and I have never seen my number going above 5. To day for sometime it was 6 but again it dropped down to 5 and I just do not understand what is happening. Anyway, I have left it at that and do not care about it at all. It is as if there is someone working against me here. Ok All the best

Well, I'm not particularly concerned about my rating. It used to be a 10 but it dropped down to 9. I did my best to bring it back to ten but nothing happened. I don't check it that often now. I guess I'm stuck with a 91/100 rating which I feel is not not bad after all.

I didn't even know about that so, I will have to check that out! I know the star is your rating or rank on myLot but, I didn't know anything about moving the mouse over the star to see your reputation rating! Thank you for teaching me something! I'm going to try it now after I submit this!

Never! I write the best responses that I can, so there's nothing more I can do to improve the rating in the star. I used to worry about it, then I realised that I was wasting valuable time that I could be using for checking out discussions!

Yeah, I'm paying really close attention to the star beside my name--my reputation. It's like the basis of my work here in MyLot. If it goes down or up, I'm really affected. Fortunately, it haven't went down since I became a member. It only went up. I'm glad because I have the 9 star reputation. It's really a great thing to be proud of.

Hadn't really thought about it but I just might start doing that.

Hello dear sophialin. I would like to move the cursor to the star of mine to chect my mylot reputation almost each time I log in mylot. I am looking forward to my mylot reputation to 100/100 one day. Right now my mylot reputation is 99/100. It has been like this for many months without reaching the top one. I will be very excited to see it reach that 100 some day. So you are not alone there, friend. lol.

I used to do that all the time when I was first on mylot as QueenKaren. But that feature doesn't work for me anymore. I think it has something to do with me using firefox instead of explorer as my web browser.

I check the number in my star evrey day when the earnings are updated. I think the number in our star only changes once a day, too, at the same time as our earnings. Or have you noticed it changing more than once while you are in mylot? Am I missing something? I used to care a lot about the star rating but I don't anymore because I don't think it has anything to do with our earnings. Again, unless I am wrong about this too.

Mine doesn't do it either...I also use Firefox. Ah, yes, I just signed in wi IE and it showed me the rating. Now I will go back and read the posts to see what it means...lol

Hi sophialin, this was really a good topic as it's a feature that I haven't really known of! Haha... I've been using Firefox, so as I've seen from other comments, the feature doesn't seems to work well with it. I tried using IE, just to see that feature and voila! It does exist haha... but I don't want to switch to IE just because of that feature though. As of now, I'll stick to Firefox and just be happy with the 1-10 stars alone.

Well i don't mouse to my star very frequently , but i do think it is good that you took pride in your discussion .... of course don't take it too seriously yea ...Good luck hope you will reach a perfect 10 someday yea.

Hello dear sophialin c",) I'm sure i've done that months ago when i just started here. I got addicted and reached my 100th post. And yes i got a star and it has the number 10 on it.. I had no idea why i got the highest star immediately after my 100th post but my friend who referred me here said that it's my reputation and i'm thankful to mylot for giving me that. Recently, when I am still new here in myLot, I used to check my reputation. I got 4 when I reached 100 posts. I am just thankful that I reached 10 as my myLot reputation here. Right now, I am more focused on participating. :-)

I run my mouse over my star usually once a day just out of curiosity of what it is it seems to go between 98/100 and 99/100 for mine most of the time. When I first got my star it was an 8 and I have got it up to a 10 where it has stayed ever since.

When I log into mylot the very first things I do are; check my referrals to see if by some miracle someone actually posted something I then mosey over to my earnings to see how much they went up from the day before. After that I check the topics I started to see if I have recieved any new replies. Once all that is done I check my reputation star. Mainly it is to see if it had gone down from the previous day. Even tho mylot is a site that is open and welcome to debate if I disagree with the starter of a thread and state my opinion in the response that I make people will rate my response negative thus making my reputation go down. If there was some way mylot could regulate the ratings to make it more fair (for example: people rate every post a person makes negative siimply because they did not like something they had wrote) then I think that it would probably work a little bit more fairly.

i never knew you could see the reputation thingy when you get your own star but as of today, i did it and i saw nothing. haha! why is this so? im using firefox anyway...
