men and machine

what is the obsession between men and machines. i study design and technology there are more boys in that class than girls all they want to do is build roberts, aeroplanes. then there is the endless discussions on cars, aeroplane, boats, robots and the list continues........ Whilst us girls sat there looking bewildered!!

They are just interesting. Technology has an allure to many people (both males and females).
I'll flip the question since this discussion sounds familiar (and a bit tired). What should men be obessed about?
