in the morning people tend to rush always and end up skipping their meals. i am not an exemption since i also skip breakfast and i usually go to work with only coffee for my breakfast. during lunch, i also eat less because i have to go back online to work. the result is me starving when i get home and so i eat more at night. i believe this is not the proper way to maintain healthy body but i get really very hungry that i can't help eating more at night. i heard some people skipping dinner to maintain their figure and i want to try that too but if i will skip dinner i would probably starve to death :) how about you? do you skip dinner to maintain your shape also?

I only eat lunch and dinner. Sometimes there is after lunch coffee and after dinner cocktails, but that's about it. Therefore, I eat the most during lunch and dinner. Between lunch and dinner, I think I eat more during dinner because I usually have it at home and I think home food is most of the time yummy. As well, I always have an erratic lunch schedule, which is why I cannot eat that much during lunch, even if I wanted to. I have not even tried contemplating of skipping dinner, even for the health factor. But maybe I'll try going back to the gym instead. It's summer now. Guess I better go beef up for the beach. :)

Hello, marion! Normally we people are busy with our works in the day time and do not get enough time to devote for breakfast or lunch.so we usually manage with whatever we get near by or skip over.but that we supplement in the night in dinner.when i was going to office i usually skipping over the lunch and came back home in the night i fill up my belly with much stuff.unless i am satisfied with my dinner i can't sleep properly.so i take some snacks at late night.now i am in my seventies and maintaining the same habit and doing fine.no health hazards and nothing of that sorts.thank you.

Hiya djmarion, something I have noticed with regard to skipping meals is this, last week I decided I wanted to lose some weight, not much just a couple of pounds. I do not eat breakfast, but I always have lunch and dinner/evening meal, but for the week decided that I was going to skip one meal, I decided to skip lunch, I did this all week and when I weighed myself at the end of the week I had gained weight. Now this week I decided to try something different, I still did not eat breakfast because I never have eaten breakfast, but I ate a lunch and an evening meal, but I made sure that everything I ate was healthy, not full of fat or too many carbs and not junk e.g choccy or crisps, I weighed myself today, worried because I thought I would have put weight on because I had been eating more, yet I had lost 2lb. I do not think the key to maintaining or losing weight is skipping meals, but more eating balanced meals regularly, I find that if I skip a meal then I am more hungry, starving in fact which leads me to eat whatever I can get my hands on, but when I eat regularly and watch what I am eating then I seem to lose weight. I do some exercise, not as much as I would like but when I can. I am constantly trying different ways to keep those pounds off or lose pounds and I am quite surprised by the results I have had this week.

Our big meal in our house is dinner. Occassionally we do a big breakfast on the weekend and a smaller dinner that day. I don't skip meals to maintain my shape. I usually skip meals for lack of appetite....Mamablaze!!

Dinner can make your body fat ? I don't think so..Why?the key of "making nice body" is sport and take enough rest, not crazy diet.Every morning I eat like I during lunch, and same portion when at dinner,I enjoy this, but don't forget, we have burn our calory, that must, do aerobic exercise, minimal 3 times a week about 1 hour and eat more fresh fruit/vegetables,well..enjoy eat at dinner time..

I agree that this is not a good lifestyle. Yeah, it's not really healthy. However, it can't be helped. I remember my friend explaining to me before that during breakfast, you should eat like a King (meaning you must eat enough food to start your day right), eat like a Queen during lunch (still have things to do!) and during dinner, eat like a pauper (because your stomach needs some rest! LOL). My mom said that I would get stomachaches when I eat too much at night. And that makes my tummy big. LOL

I usually have a heavy breakfast, a light lunch and a good dinner. If I don't have a good dinner, I will probably get up in the middle of the night to search the refrigerator for something to eat.

skipping meals isn't a way to maintain your shapes or whatever...you can eat as long as you want especially when your job requires for it, and if it happen that you gain weight you could always do exercise to balance it...but never skip meals or try to lessen the food that you are eating just for shape maintenance whatsoever!...the correct way is eat healthy food and do exercise...that's it!!

that's not healthy if you skip dinner to maintain your shape. but i know that the breakfast is the most important meal during one day. lunch is less important than breakfast while supper is the least important one. although dinner is less important than breakfast, i think it is necessary to have dinner. sometimes i choose to eat less at dinner. for example i only eat some fruit or some vegetables so that i have dinner only seventy percent. it is good for my health by eating fruit ans vegetables while i maintain my shape also. when you feel hungry at dinner, you can eat more fruit to stop your starvation.

Hello. Yes, I eat more on dinner since I work night shift. Before going to work, my parents would cook dinner for us. A real heavy one. I usually skip lunch since I was sleeping in the day. I prefer not to be awaken because it is so hard to go back to sleep afterwards.

In the morning I tend to wake up in the last minute. And therefore I am in a hurry to go to work and meanwhile have my breakfast. I will have lunch and it's the food from home. So dinner will be the best meal for us and I tend to eat more because I have long time enjoy it with my family.

Hello dear djmarion. I think that I usually more at lunch as this is the most important meal for me. I eat much less for breakfast as I do not want to eat too much for breakfast. But if I stay up late, then I will have to eat something to make me feel better instead of feeling hungry.

I know that the best time to eat is breakfast so you can burn the food you eat for the whole day and you can skip dinner or you can eat but no rice at all. I struggle so hard about the way I eat I'm a good cook and I can't help in eating I admit that I love eating I gain weight when I got this baby delivered last two years ago so I did not exercise for almost a year because I under go caesarian. I waited so long I tried so many ways like drinking slimming pills and tea but i admit that exercise and control on your eating is the best way to loose weight. I try to skip dinner and it help me also now i trimmed a lot and maybe I will go back to my original weight

I used to skip my breakfast and combine lunch and dinner at 3pm after my work. With this, I dont have to eat too much at night. The main point here is, I still have the chance to burn the calories that I take in.
