I fonly I could change one thing I would change my decision of not taking my mother to the doctor against my instincts on the day I lost her to diabetes. All my instincts were telling me to call up the doctor and ask about her symptoms but she kept saying she is okay and I just let it be. If only I had not listened to her and gone with my instincts.I wish I could change that one day in my whole life.

Yes I know but the heart wishes for all that can never be achieved, I am okay its only sometimes that you look back and regret but then life has to go on.

well looking back from those past decisions I had, there really are some things that I should have done the other way around. First is my course in college. I should have made up my mind when I decided to take my first course but what happened was I changed another course after 2 years and it took me six years to finish my college. That really sucks. Bad move. Second is that I should have exerted more effort than I did when I was just a freshman in college. I should have done things that would help me more with my studies.

There are so many things that i would want to change in my life. I might start from the day i took up a different course in college than what i really wanted.

my dear changing the world is big task i would advise you start with your community first, come to think of it what differences have made within your family in the past 6 months if there are then you can move from there to your community,if not you have a long way to go and lots of sacrifices to make are you ready?

these are very good points and well you still have a chance to do a home study course at home, also smoking can be dealt with though i know it may be tough but its not impossible just take steps and gradually but surely you will get there.as for weight you can also work on it maybe a few pounds for a start then working out.goodluck

yes in life we sometimes realize that we have made certain decisions based on our understanding as at that period but only to find out that we could have made better decisions with good knowledge and understanding, the best part of it is that if going by where we are today we make make the best of whatever opportunities comes our way

Yes. My top four things are: 1. having better credit 2. Not being away from writing so long, as I tried to pursue other things that didn't work out as well. 3. Having come out sooner to my parents (I didn't tell them for a year even though I was in a comitted relationship, and I don't think that was fair to me, them or my girlfriend at the time) 4. I would screen the people I hire better. I am disabled and need personal care assitants. This kind of field attracts every wackado looking to take advantage of a vulnerable person. One woman recently complained to the state that I wasn't paying her for the hours she works and that I was illegally changing her time card. None of which was true. It takes all kinds!

yes, well you sure have to screen people well but what would you do when they seem so qualified ?we all are prone to employ the wrong person even after taking due dilligence, thats human beings not a fault.as for your relationship i dont think you should have hiden it for so long but hope you have done the correction?then writing thats something i think you should do more often if its your mettle and of you need to learn it you should start it will help a lot, well coping with human beings can be hectic i wish you all the best but always ensure you sign a conttract of agreement with whoever you are employing in future stating every aspect of the job including work hours and remuneration,it will help protect you against people who want to take advantage of you.

Sometimes it is good to think about these things as long as you don't waste time harping on them. For me, I think I would have gone straight on the graduate school right after college - working and going to school at night. I would have worked harder on improving communications with certain family members. I would not have invested in a particular business venture. I would have continued playing competitive tennis. It is nice to get that off my chest once in a while. But I am who I am because of the decisions I have made. I learn and grow from them and thankfully I am very happy with my life.

that is exactly what am talking about looking back, taking stocks and taking good and plan steps to move forward i never regretted many of my decisions the only regrets i think i have are those times when my instincts will warn me against certain things and i still go ahead with them but in all i guess it pays to learn the hard way sometimes.

I would have finished college before I had kids! It's much, much harder to do it once you have a family.

Given the chance there are so many things that i would have changed, i dont think i would know where to start. i have often wondered about the same thing (changing things if we could) but then i also ask myself would it really accomplish much? or would we be too busy going back to change all sorts.

sometimes its a good thing to look back at our lives and look at the decisons we have taken or have not taken to see how we can move forward, its not about crying over spilled milk but about a re evaluation of what we could have done and not done, then to project future actions, what do you think ?this is the best way to move forwrd in life
22 Mar 08
yeah seems like the way forward, learning from the past in whatever way we can.

Honestly,I would not want to change anything that has happened to me. I know that for everything that is happening in our life has a purpose. Be it pain, sorrow, anger, happiness. It made me who I am because of my experiences and It feels good to have overcome trials and difficulties in life.

well its better to learn the hard way than never learn at all and make the same mistakes over and over, but that is not the worst of it,you can trn back and make a good decision to go for genuine business or investment and also make better judgement of people when going into relationships

I'm not sure I would change anything as my life led me to my hubby and if my life's path was altered I may never have met him. Although since meeting him I wish I had then gone back to school and got the education I should have.

I would have been more honest with myself. I would have been more assertive and less afraid. I would have spoken sooner in my relationships. But ultimately, I have to agree with some of you and say that all my experiences, both good and especially the bad ones have helped make me the person I have become. So essentially, I have to admit I am happy with who I am, shortcomings and all.

I am very happy for you to have come to the point of accepting yourself for who you are shortcomings or not.is there anyone without a shortcoming?i doubt that.so acceptance is the first point in getting started in living life and to the fullest too.happy living my friend

1. I would have always went with my first instinct 2. I would have spent more time with my grandparents and remembered the stories that they told me that (at the time) seemed so boring. 3. I would have been the person that I am today..earlier! lol! 4. I would have cared less about the stupid things that drove me crazy in high school! 5. I would have said no that time I said yes! (sorry, only I will know what that means! lol!)

little-stormy,i quite agree with you especially with our grandparents we sometimes feel they are boring because of the youthfulnss we feel, also so many times we say yes when we really are suppossed to say no but not to worry there is always another chance as long as we live,in fact i say mor e nos these days than the number of yes,its funny but it has helped, high school days are those days of carelessness maybe a little care would have made quite a big difference in who we are today, dont you think so?but we cnat turnback the hands of time can we?lets just take stock of the time we have now and make the very best of it
