We are having ham, asparagus, rolls, back raspberry pie, blueberry pie, and maybe a bunny cake. I am not sure what else we are going to have yet. What is on your menu? Maybe I can get some ideas from you guys here on myLot.

I remember making the bunny cakes with the coconut all over the icing, haven't thought about one in years. I am probably going to buy a pie at the store today though. If I get ambitious, maybe I'll try the cake for fun though. The cake isn't too much work. We are having ham, asparagus, rolls, too. Also probably sweet potatoes in one form or another.

I was going to have waldorf salad as well, but made it earlier in the week instead. I think an ambrosia or jello salad is always good too if I get even more ambitious.

I thought about a jell-o salad, but decided against it. We had enough sweets with the pies, and cake.

I'm vegetarian...everything besides the ham sounds delicious. A bunny cake would be adorable. We're going to my in-laws'...they're having pasta with roasted veggies(for us and some meat dish for everyone else), salad, coconut cream pie, cookies, fruit

That is nice of them to make the pasta for you guys. I made a great salad with spinach, strawberries, mandarin oranges, and pecans. I made a strawberry dressing to go with it.

We are going to my daughters for Easter Dinner. Our son-in-law is cooking and I have no idea what's on the menu. Well I do know that Pumpkin Pie and French Silk Pie are on the menu as we are bringing those. I asked my daughter the other day and she did not even know yet. I guess she should know by now though. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

My dad loves pumpkin pie. Seeing as he stayed home (which is explained in a discussion I started) when we picked up the pies for Easter I bought an extra pumpkin just for dad. Also brought him a plate full of Easter Dinner. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

I have never bought a pumpkin pie. I have always made mine. How are the store bought pumpkin pies? Nice of you to get your dad his own.

French Silk pie sounds good. I never eat pumpkin pie except around Thanksgiving and Christmas. I just never think to make it any other time.

I was going to make scalloped potatoes, but my sister decided she wanted to make cheesy baked grits and that would have been too much creamy stuff. I did boiled potatoes with parsley, butter, salt and pepper instead.

With all the fixins! - ham dinner
I'm making a ham dinner with all the fixings. I got a beautiful spiral ham and can't wait to eat it. My future d/i/l is making manicotti and my daughter is bringing dessert!

That was always my families traditional meal. Ham with pineapple and cloves on it baked in the oven. Sweet taters, deviled eggs, a cheesy tater and onion side dish and other things. Funny thing is this old mans mind can't recall what we had last year at my daughters for Easter dinner. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

We are also having our traditional hashbrown casserole -- we have it just about every holiday in my family. It goes GREAT with ham!! You use a 2lb bag of frozen hashbrowns, a stick of melted butter, 8 oz of sour cream, 1 can cream of chicken soup and stir it all up (I usually let the hashbrowns thaw a bit or it gets hard to stir lol). Then put cornflakes on top and drizzle some more butter to keep them from drying out. Bake it for about an hour at 350 -- good stuff!

We did hashbrown casserole for Christmas or Thanksgiving, so I was going to try to do something different. Hashbrown casserole is great though.

I had Chinese Food, as I felt like eating real food (or as close to it, as Chinese food gets). All I had in my fridge was hotdogs and potatoes. I didn't feel like eating that again, for the millionth time.

We don't really celebrate Easter here, although some malls hold an event for easter egg hunts. Anyway, it seems like you guys do celebrate this day and cook real good food! I like the sound of a blueberry pie. Yum!

I don't like blueberries, so I did not try the pie. I was told that it was pretty good though.

Sounds like what we had for dinner. My sister in law made a delicious black raspberry pie. She is really a good cook, and bad for my diet. But I know I'll keep eating what she makes, holiday or not. lol

Isn't black raspberry pie great? Maybe you could get your sister in law to make some more healthy meals then you could enjoy her cooking and not ruin your diet.
