I wasn't Stomping...."I was making my entrance in style"

Last night, or should I say around 2am..my hubby is on his way to bed and asked me to join him...Unfortunately I am not quite ready to go to bed, but I headed upstairs anyway... I climbed up the stairs and headed for the bedroom and then lay down on the bed..(fully clothed)....he is standing there laughing and says, "What is all the stomping about?" I told him, "I wasn't stomping, I was making my entrance in style." He says, "oh really!" "It sounded like stomping to me." "You can get up now and go back downstairs." I told him no, and that I was here to stay.... We had a good laugh....Our dog got right in the middle and then my hubby fell asleep so I read my book and I didn't go to sleep until almost 5 am.... How about you? When you're not ready to go to bed, and your spouse is, do you "stomp" or going willing? *smile*

LOL...I go willingly. Then when he's asleep I get back up. And he never realizes I'm gone.

In our home, when my husband is ready to go to bed he kisses me and tells me he loves me and that he is going to lay down. He will ask me if i'm ready for bed, and if i'm not i politely tell him i'm gonna stay up a little longer...unless it's not sleep he's talking about. LOL! then i'll go to bed and get up afterwards if i'm not ready to sleep. we have an understanding though. he knows i'm more of a night person and that i can't go to bed early or i'll be up early and wont' be able to go back to sleep. we don't really have a problem with it cause he goes to bed early because he works and i stay home with the kids. God bless

Depended on how I felt at the time . Most of the time I was ready to drop in that bed after doing all the things mothers do.

My hubby and I rarely sleep together let alone go yo bed together! He works permanent third shift so at least five nights a week he isn't here at bedtime! On the nights he is he is often ready for bed well before me I used to go to bed with him but he can literally fall asleep within 30 seconds of his head hitting the pillow so I'd just lay there wide awake so nowadays if he kicks back in the recliner (a sure sign he is going to fall asleep) he gets sent to bed. One day we'll get our clocks together ...... retirement should it ever happen will be a whole new adventure for us.

I personally am always ready to go to bed long before my hubby so I never have that problem. However on rare occasions, he is the one to ask me if I'm ready for bed and I just say yes and head off to bed. Not because I like to agree with him or do what he wants... haha... I just can't stand to try and fall asleep next to someone who is snoring so loud you can hear him accross the apartment... OR try to climb in bed next to someone who won't share the covers!! I just prefer to fall asleep before all of that goes on!

Oh my, you poor thing...LOL..I hate the snoring too! I don't blame you for getting in there before that all happens..No blanket sharing with us though...we each have our own blanket..

That was cute... Actually no I've never done that, I usually go to bed when I am ready to go and that is normally around 1 or 2 am... My husband goes to bed at 9:30 10:00 pm cause he has to be up at 5 am for work... Well he don't need to be there until 8 am but that gives him some time to wake up..

I actually don't stomp at all Terry. I am often in bed way before my husband goes to bed. Most of the time I fall asleep when I put my son to bed and he either leaves me there or wakes me up and I waddle off to bed haha.

Stomping is what my son does when he has to do something he doesn't want to. Have you been chucking little tantrums, Feona? Lol! I tend to carry on when my wife chooses what we watch on telly and she picks some chick flick! I'll watch one every couple of months with her, but anymore than that drives me nuts! As for bed time, we have come to the conclusion that we need different amounts of sleep, so she goes to bed fairly early and I stay up til whenever. Not 5 oclock in the morning though, like some people!! Even 2am is too late for me. Of course, there are the times when we do go to bed at the same time, but that info belongs in a different discussion cattegory, LOL!

Ok, Granny Feona, don't get to excited, remember your poor old heart...LOL! Good to know hubby thinks you are useful for a little while longer, and isn't going to dispose of you yet! So you think I caused you to hit your foot, I think more like all the stomping hurt it and you don't want to admit it! Anyway, keep hubby smiling however you can, I know I'm laughing along with him at your antics! LOL!

First of all, interesting avatar, Feona, T-Rex the ferrous dinosaur.. As for going to bed, usually my spouse goes to bed earlier than I do because he has to get up around 4 AM, so I stay out here and watch TV, or on the computer or I go back to the bedroom and read..

Oh I used to go willingly most times but so many times it was me in the mood and not him but it all worked out. but we used to have a dog named pansy an overgrown doxie who was jealous of me and always managed to get right in between just as we began to get frisky and we would have to manually boot her out and close the door tightly then she would whimper lol

I am terrible abour things like this. And my fiancee hates me reading in bed so I'll sit there and pout until he finally just says, whatever, why don't you read you book? Then I'll start feeling badly for pouting and talk to him and read my book until I'm tired too.. doesn't work out so great for him, does it?

LOL. I never go to bed when my husband is ready and I am not. We both work nights right now and I work some very long hours online. He will go ahead to bed without me if I am still working. Sometimes I will give up what I am doing and go lay down with him. I have usually been up a very long time by the time he is ready for bed anyway. He only works 8 hours and I am usually going for at least 15 per day.

my wife and i have separate beds as a long time ago we found out on our honeymoon that our bed times were so different..she liked to listen to the radio..i hateed this as it kept me awake..she tossed and turned all night long..i stay in one spot and got tired of getting punched by her elbow or kicked..so i snore very very loud and she wakes me when i do this..etc etc..so we have separate bedrooms..as I sleep late and get up early or vice versa with her..she yaks on the phone when i am trying to sleep..i turn the phone off when i am sleeping as the phone startles me when i am sleeping..so you see we only sleep together when we are away on a trip or visiting friends or relatives..then for some reason we get along ok..maybe its all in our head? but we don't stomp around...lol..that sounds kind of funny..but i have been known to sleep in my sweats as in Michigan its cold at night..

We don't have to go to bed at the same time. We probably do maybe 4 out of 7 days a week. But, we don't always. No biggie for us. It might be because, he knows if I am not tired yet, I will toss and turn until I fall asleep and that can keep him up. I don't do it on purpose. And, if I find I am doing it, I will get up and tuck myself into the couch until I wake up a couple hours later. LOL! But, no...we don't have to go to bed at the same time! You did make your "entrance in style" though!

lol- that is too cute!! My husband goes to bed early and I go to bed very late. Most of the 1st response you got I could have written. Except the first part she wrote, because he never asks me to join him when he goes unless it is not sleep he is talking about. lol (He knows I rarely go to sleep as early as he does so he doesn't bother asking). Other than that my response is "what she said"! (Hope that's ok!)
