The easiest way to do the market research for your area is to sit down with the phone book and call similar businesses and find what their rates are. You want to be competitive but not at the bottom of the market. Remeber also to research insurance issues, the fields you are looking at traditionally need very high insurance cover levels and you may need extra clearance with the police for working with children, just depends on the laws over there (in the UK you need a Criminal Beaureau check to work with children, which can be expensive) Then, work out exactly what you want to offer, talk to your bank about business accounts, inform the tax office and any other local trade bdies that the law demands in your area, and way you go!
