I haven't bought newspaper for a long time because of internet. It's already mass news via the net everyday. And the newspaper seem to give me the latest news later than internet. Besides, at least it costs money to buy newspaper. So my news come from internet, TV and my friends today

I don't buy newspapers. I read about news on TV. It would be wasting of money to do it. I look at newspapers when relaxing with coffee in bookstore or at other businesses. I didn't pay for newspaper for last 10 years.

Hello dear youless. We book a certain newspaper for my son. The newpaper is entitle with Reference because my son is interested in it with a lot of news from home and abroad. I started to book this newspaper for him since he was a junior high school student. I do this to arouse his interest in study and he is really interested in reading it every day when he gets the paper. He is very good at his arts and literature, partly because of our developing his interest in it. He is often proud to tell us that he gets the top points in examination about history, politics and geography and Chinese. I am so happy that we are doing the right thing for him. Besides, I also like to read this newspaper as it provides lots of news by reporters from home and abroad with different views of point. It helps widen our vision with a lot of knowledge. Thanks for your discussion.

I am so glad that you have already learned something new from my response. To develop our kids' interest and talent ever since they are young is of great importance. I am sure that you are a great and capable mother as to how to educate and train your son to be a more talented kid than all the others because of your wisdom, which can be seen from many of your posts. Thanks a lot.

I don't buy newspapers except pick up the free local ones at the metro when I use the train or bus. As like you I get most of my news online or at 5pm news on tv.

Same with me, the newspaper I usually read is the free one that's handed out near train and bus stations. Sometimes I'll buy a regular newspaper when I'm going to be away from an Internet connection, like when I'm going to be on a long bus, train, or plane ride.

Presently,I'm only buying our local weekly papers. National daily ones have too much irrelevant material and Gossip-I get enough news if I want it from TV,Radio, and online.

Yes, I still get the paper delivered daily. I feel lost if I don't have my paper to read in the morning with my breakfast, and I can't watch the news, as my young son has ears that pick up everything that is on telly! I'm not real keen in reading news on the computer screen, and it takes up the time I could be doing other things!

Yes, although sometimes it depends on what is going on in the world. Sometimes it can be quite upsetting!

No I never really spent on newspaper because when I work, I take the subway and there is some free newspapers to be distributed, I would take those and just read during my ride. When I wasn't working, I would watch news on the TV and I don't really think it's necessary for me to spend on newspaper.

I still buy newspapers, because alot of the local news from my city you cannot get online. Sure, you can get a huge selection of stories, sports, weather and more, BUT.. I like to hear about whats going on in the town itself. I like little reports on school bake sales, and food drives. Most of the stories you see today are about horrible things! I believe that our home towns can give us the chance to see good .. even if it is just a little bit. I actually love reading the newspaper. It brings a smile to my face. Don't get me wrong, there is bad news too.. everywhere ya go.. but that little ray of hope is what i need. It's a nice change once in a while.:)

Much as I would dearly like to buy one, I can't afford it - yet. A major daily costs more than an hour of internet shop rental. These days I rely on the television and the internet for news. But one of these days, I shall yet be able to get a subscription to at least one major daily newspaper. And when the very first issue gets delivered to my doorstep, I'll sigh with contentment, smile and maybe say to myself with a lot of satisfaction, "This is the life!"

The only reason I would get a Sunday paper was because of the coupons. These days my supermarket has great specials so I rarely need coupons so I don't get a paper.

I've never purchased a newspaper. I use the Internet for news. They also eat lots of trees, yuck! * Most news I obtain are sources from outside the United States because American media is controlled by just six companies. That leaves lots of room for sneaky censorship. For another thing, newspapers in the United States tend to slant the news toward a certain political slant. Usually Republican in my area!

I do not buy them daily. I have it subscribed to be delivered to my home daily. I prefer to read the hardcopy ones as I read while having my breakfast. It's easier than reading online.

I used to buy the local newspaper every morning on the way to work. Now we have internet at work and it has been a long time since I bought one. I think the day our internet was down at work was the last time I bought one. I love the internet for news. I can not only get local news but I can find out what is going on all over the world! I think a printed newspaper may go the way of the dodo.

I still buy newspapers sometimes if I have spare time to read it. Newspapers are necessary nowsdays though many information such as the news you can get from the net. You can keep what you like from the newspaper, however, the net is renewed frequently. Besides, you can read the newspaper everywhere you like for it is quite convinient for you to carry. All the merits keep me buying newspapers.
