Do you bite your nails?

Yes. I always haev. I do it when i'm bored or nervous. My fiance does it too but he does it overboard. He has to wear bandaids on his fingers cause he bites them down that much. I don't do it like that though.

I do, and often, though I'm more of a nail nibbler because I often don't have nails to bite. ;)

I have been biting my nails for as long as I can remember. Even though I know they are dirty and its a horrible habit, I just can not stop. Half the time, I do it without even realizing Im doing it.

no ,i do not do it too,as i believe that it is not healthful to me.but i find many people would like to bite their fingernails that i can not understand the reason.but for me ,i do not have this kind of habit.i often clip my nails for about two weeks when it gets longer.and i often help my boyfriend to clip his nails.lol...

hi there yesterday when i loggged in and had just finished with my profile bang came your friend request So thanks for being a friend.I was going through your profile and read the discussions started by you and my eyes came to this which i have to respond to for biting nails have been a way of life 4 me.i just cant remenber when i started first but the habit is still intact and going strong.Many people have helped me to give it up but to no avail.They often applied bitter lotion on my fingers but no use.I have grown nails too at some point polished then too and then a sliver in them is all i need to clip them off.Maybe i am a nervous treck god alone knows but this habit is now for life. At times ignorance is bliss, i better follow the maxim for i seldom realise what i am doing and have just no hold on it. Well thanks again for being a friend.ta

No I don't, my nails grow long pretty quick and I like the way they look because I have long fingers. They make my hands look pretty. My brother bites his nails which is bad he got an infection in one once because he bit down to far. It also caused it to bleed. He does it when he gets nervous or stressed out over something. I do not bite my nails. my daughter and hubby do and it drives me nuts. I tell them how many germs there are, but they don't care.

I agree that it can be in fact a dirty habit...who knows might be underneath our fingernails. Personally my nails are always long even though i cut them constantly! My daughters father though used to and most likely still does and he bites his right down to the skin and makes them bleed even ... ewwww... lol!!!
